Next Step Docetaxel after Abiraterone & Xtandi failed.
After being on
abiraterone
for 10 months, my husband's PSA numbers started climbing again. His doctor switched him to Xtandi in July of this year. Hubby's PSA climbed from 35.5 in August to 78.6 in October after being on Xtandi for 3 months.

Question about starting Abiraterone
I am going to be adding
Abiraterone
to my Lupron next week. MO says 4 - 30 mg pills. Should I start with all 4 a day or start with 1 then 2 etc. so my body gets use to it? Anybody tried this approach???? Thanks as always to all of you.

Update: A choice between 2 clinical trials as of yesterday afternoon. 1. AMG 509 and 2. Cocktail of 4 immunotherapy drugs.
Today is the first day since June 8, 2019, that I did not take
Abiraterone
as they want me to begin cleansing from that. I will continue with monthly Degarelix injections. I hope to hear some opinions on the antibodies and agents involved. I will share what I find out. Thanks Philly

A Quick Update and Trial Questions
My PSA fell below 0.1 in January 2019, then to <0.01 after starting
abiraterone
in May 2019. This summer it went up to 0.02, then 0.03, and about two weeks after stopping
abiraterone
it was a detectable by all standards 0.16. Looks like it was doing a little something.

She said the next move is
abiraterone
and also an injectable osteoporosis treatment, Denosumba. He had his 3rd Eligard injection 3 weeks ago so we’ve yet to get latest PSA reading.

Feedback wanted on docetaxel
I have been on ADT (Firmagon) for two years, along with
abiraterone
and then Xtandi until no longer effective. I am presently taking a PARP inhibitor Lynparza (olaparib) which has kept my PSA low for 9 months.

End of BAT; a few lessons
I went on to
abiraterone
(abi) (plus of course prednisone). I am now in an interesting trial of abi plus the PARP inhibitor Niraparib. I will separately report on my experiences there. OK, so what can we say about this treatment?

Update regarding divergent advice about adding Zytiga to Lupron when PSA undetectable
His RO is considering continuing for 3 years total and if so, he could have
abiraterone
added.

Follow up to the Follow up: Auximen Scan showed significant new cancerous growth
The little bit of research I did on the internet so far this morning seemed to confirm that, but there is something about
Abiraterone
that I don’t understand.

PSA rose more with T < 3
Hey y'all, Been on
Abiraterone
since 01/20 and have had monthly PSAs done. The last one jumped from 5.2 to 9.2 - almost a doubling. Trying to navigate the Kaiser system to get another scan and proceed from there I'm inclined to rechallenge with Taxotere to refumigate my body for pests.

Then we noticed some facial swelling -to which our MO assistant said it was a known side effect of
abiraterone
acetate and prednisone and not to be worried and come back with the test results as per the schedule.

Acetate (Zytiga) with Prednisone? Why my Dana-Farber Oncologist keeps kicking the can (cancer) down the road, should I expect more for quality of life consideration?
