Does anyone claim benefits with fnd

Hi all I was wondering if anyone as manged to claim any benefits with fnd if you can't work and company want let you on the premises for your own safety.

Hello

Sorry to hear that you are struggling and the answer is yes you can get benefits.

I receive benefits for FND I receive ESE new style contributions and Pip standard.

So I was on the sick for 28 weeks which Work had to continue paying sick pay then I had to continue putting sick notes in directly to DWP at first I was put in ESA work related group then put in the Surport group.

Work could let you go due to your health then you would automatically receive benefit.

Also, just to let you know, I was diagnosed with FND two year ago and I have just stopped putting fit notes in I was asking for 3 month notes just ask doctor.

Citizens advice we’re very good in helping fill the form in for Pip and telling me what benefits I was able to get .Once I explained what Fnd was.

I had my assessment on my laptop the assessment officer was very feral in asking how it affected me, I even told them that their were days I could walk the dog around the block.

Basically every day is different it would be wise to put in for Pip now even if you go back to work in the future you can continue receiving PIP has long as you have records showing health struggles. In my case Fnd depression and anxiety

I've been awarded pip for 3years then a short form only next time regards any changes.

Hi it’s me again, I was put on sick pay unable to work, didn’t know sick pay only last 28 weeks until I received notification that it was stopping and what to do next. Went on ESA contributions and was put on support group almost immediately as my condition was quite bad so didn’t need sick notes then I had to go for an assessment at which I fell so they could see I was not good. Then I applied for PIP (50 page assessment) and then physical assessment put on basic rate (every little helps). Just had a letter telling me my new assessment will be in 2025 was due in 2023 . The problem is no one tells you what you’re entitled to you have to do your own research, like with UC no one told us we could get free bus travel ( we live in London) after 13 weeks. So we just paid for travel then when we got to sixty we found out about 60+ oyster, £20 for first year and then £10 per year for free travel within the M25. So do your research and ask questions. Hi kev60 Thank you my manager tells me my job is safe but I need a diagnosis first as I wouldn't be safe on the premises, I'm 62 only 5 yrs to work but living on sick pay is difficult so I will do as you suggested and luck into benefits.

Don’t forget PIP is not means tested so you can work!
