Just found out I'm 2nd generation agent orange
Hi
This is tough news. I'm reading a book about Vietnam right now so it's strange to read your posting after just reading a bit of agent orange.
How did it take so long to find out? Is your health ok right now?

My Dad just informed me of his exposure during Vietnam. Looking back several struggles make more sense, or at least provide more possible insight. One of my grandchildren will be born with cleft palate and lip. The doctors have been questioning my son about family history due to his unborn sons issues with development. I'm amazed how this new knowledge just spontaneously came about. At least my unborn grandsons doctors will have a better knowledge base from today going forward. As for my health, my nervous system seems fried. I've struggled with anxiety and PTSD my entire life.
Apparently the government decided it was time to tell him that the area he was stationed in was direct exposed. I'm not a fan of the things the government does to our soldiers. If he had known sooner, he could have let me know what to possibly anticipate when I had children. That's if I would have chosen to have children with the known risks. So sad, wrong, violating and angering.
This is a lot to deal with. I'm very sorry you are going through this. Yes, it's something that you should have known long ago.
Now the doctors have more information which is a blessing for your grandson.
Please take care of yourself. Getting this news and having your mental health history you want to find time to absorb and process this
