My question concerning eye infections. Has anyone had

pred plus methotrexate?
Tapered, slowly, to 3mg of Prednisolone.Stiff and achey legs and hips in the morning but gone by afternoon. Saw rheumatologist today who wants to increase pred to 6mg and add 15mg methotrexate once a week. Will review in 6 weeks. Inflammation levels in blood are high - 18 - would that be good reason

Hike in T-Score due to steroid use. Worrying.
Hi All, just yesterday I finally got results from my DEXA .scan which I had done on 3rd of April. My T Score was T-2.3 (osteopina). My last DEXA scan showed my T-Score as -1.7 and deemed to be ok. This is quite a hike and I'm quite upset by i seeing that T-2.5 is Osteoporosis. I am Prednisolone

Covid, covid test and tapering
Very slow tapering (DL style and working well) currently at 5mg prednisolone. Just into my 3rd year PMR diagnosis, when I contracted covid. Staying put at 5 mg now. PMR bouts of fatigue and sleepiness much worse this time though just starting to improve a little. not the case on my previous covid infection

Feeling dispirited having had a flying start to meds, now regressing. Advice
Diagnosed and prescribed 20mgs of prednisolone 5 days ago. Woke up the next morning and a miracle had occurred. 95% improvement, could get out of bed, dress etc... Yesterday some symptoms returned mildly, today only 50% if that. Shoulder, neck, arms, legs and hands stiff. Is this normal? I haven't overdone

Advice please.
I started my PMR and GCA journey June and July 2018. I am down to 5 .5mg prednisolone. Over the last10 days, I have had Temple area discomfort, and niggly bits of headache. Headache medication doesn't help with the headache. I was unable to lay on either side of my head during last night, and this morning

Advice re Tapering and Stressful Holiday to Japan
Hi lovely members, I’ve been more or less successfully tapering down to 7.5 / 7 mg of Prednisolone for GCA ( diagnosed last July). I am due to go to Japan for three weeks at the end of this month. I know I currently need a daily sleep and frequent tests to cope with life. Is it wise to keep up

2nd 'rescue' course of prednisolone in 6 months for RA?
Hiya my cons has finally said that the 3 week 15mg, 10mg, 5mg) course I did in november was not long enough, I could have told him that- it did not help much. however mtx now raised from 15 to 17.5 and hydroxy 200mg daily restarted 3 months ago. Alendronic Acid
Hi I have been getting heartburn after taking Alendronic Acid recently. Am on weekly dose. Have been taking for 3 months. My Dexa scan came back normal and the Rheumy says to stay on until Prednisolone stops which would be at least next March. I want to stop now as would rather risk fractures

Experience of Covid Vaccines and Adrenals
I know the covid vaccines are a hot topic here. I don’t know if mum’s experience is helpful to share. Last years jabs were both a nightmare - led to weakness, temperature, light headedness loss of mobility and a significant down step in her dementia. Despite being a real advocate for the jabs I was

Eye problems following catheter ablation
I am now 10 weeks post catheter ablation.Following the procedure I developed aura migraines daily for around 10 days. The fact sheets explained that this was a possible complication and should rectify itself, which it did and 🤞 I have not had any migraines since. I have now developed a bloodshot patch

Is it OK to take hydrolytes when you have PMR?
We live in Cyprus and are currently going through a heatwave with temperatures reaching 40C. I've had PMR since August 2020 and have been on 7.5mg of prednisolone since October 2020. In the past I've taken hydrolytes in very hot weather as I suffer badly from head sweating. Strangely enough, nowhere
