COLISTIN NOW FOR 11 DAYS AND STILL HAVE PSEUDOMONAS
I am nebulizing it twice a day after using saline and levbuteral but still have the Psedomonas non mucoid and mucoid. Wed I am getting a PORT, as I had so many issues with the Pic. Any suggestions as to why I still have the infection and when will the Colistin work or won't it?

What can be done about tightness in chest after using Colistin nebed?
My chest hurts and I have a hard time breathing, almost panting ..And wobbly . Is there something to take before the treatment to prevent this? I have only taken this for less than a week, twice a day. Will these side effects go away and if so, when? Any help appreciated.

'Last resort' antibiotic pops bacteria like balloons.
The findings, from Imperial College London and the University of Texas, may also reveal a potential way to make the antibiotic more powerful. Complicated kidney infection. Unexplained fever.
My father was misdiagnosed with a smaller kidney stone than it actually was. Before they found out the real size in CT scan, the doctors began the flush therapy and it apparently started to damage his kidney walls so they inserted a DJ stent. After keeping the stent for two weeks, they conducted RIRS

UTIs could soon be life-threatening without new antibiotics

No yellow gunk
After sixteen months of coughing up yellow/green/brown rubbish, my consultant decided to try
colistimethate
(comolycin) he was not over confident as I have the Pseudomonas bug living in my lungs, and apparently it hides rather than dies when hit with antibiotics.

Does anyone use an I-neb?
I hear that they reduce the time it takes to nebulise drugs dramatically. Also tells you when drug is finished, instead of just guessing or looking and the drug tipping out as you look! I have Bronchiectasis and I need to nebulise Colistin twice a day.
