Long Journey
Hey Guys, I don’t post on here often and I’m afraid this will be a long post. I have had PCa over 18 years. Started with casodex, Lupron. A few months later, brachytherapy then 42 sessions of EBRT. Over the years PSA would rise, and I would be put on Lupron for 18-24 months. In 2017, PSA started rising

Hip Replacement while on treatment??
My husband, who is in a Clinical Trial at MDA for Richter's, needs a hip replacement badly - such that his severe arthritis is a bigger deal to his quality of life than the Richter's. He saw an orthopedic pain management specialist last week who had nothing to offer, stating that a steroid injection

Still preclinical so don't get too excited: Lu-177 Lu-lbu-DAB-PSMA works better than Lu-177-PSMA-617
From Sweden with love...and hopefully with a clinical trial soon "The data of this study demonstrated a significant therapeutic advantage of [Lu-177]Lu-Ibu-DAB-PSMA over [Lu-177]Lu-PSMA-617 and a more favorable safety profile as compared to that of [Lu-177]Lu-PSMA-ALB-56. Dofetilide
I have afib and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy along with a history of 3 ablations and 7 cardioversions. I recently started taking Dofetilitde after the required 3 day hospital stay. IT is now 10 day later and I still have passing epidodes of afib. I am interested to hear about anyone else on defetilide

Chip implantation
Guys, a man in China had a chip implanted in his head, will anyone then go there to try out the invention?Or will you wait for Neurаlink Musk? “The next stage of the research will be the development of a new protocol for active rehabilitation using a neuro-computer interface to accelerate the growth

Distended stomach & abdomen after ablation
Bit of a strange one this, so thought I'd ask if anyone else has had a similar experience and a diagnosis. I had my 2nd catheter ablation 4 days ago under Gen Aanaesthetic; the ablation, plus cardioversion, seems to have gone well (allowing for it being very early days) and the groin wound is healing

Insulin resistant & query about blood results
Good afternoon, Please can someone advise if my bloods are acceptable. I had to nag doctor to increase my dose from 125 to 150mg and now fear although I am starting to feel better in myself that they will reduce dose down again when I see them my blood sugars are also out of range - a clinical trial

Benefits of Sacc. Boulardii probiotic
Just wondering whether to reorder my sacc. boulardii which I bought originally to combat candida, and on googling saw it's also relevant to PD - thought I'd share for those who missed this July study: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/36708254/ 'Mitochondrial impairment is a hallmark feature of neurodegenerative

Is anyone in the group interested in genetic research about NASH?
We are working with Sano Genetics to encourage more research into the genetics that predispose someone to liver disease. As part of that they are convening a focus group to gather patient perspectives. We want to encourage the adoption of genetic testing as part of normal patient care. If you have

Clinical trials
As I posted before, this was one of the most exciting parts of my attending The PBC Summit last May. So many pharmaceutical companies are working on drugs/research for finding the overall cause of PBC, the itch, and the fatigue. Several of you have posted about participating in clinical trials. First

Erleada or Xtandi vs Seizure Risk
I have had 3 unobserved and undiagnosed seizures, and want to add an ARI to my Orgovyx. My conservative MO says I do not need an ARI. My aggressive urologist has prescribed Erleada as the best ARI, and is against Xtandi. I am in a quandary over what to do. I am afraid of Erleada because "patients

Humidity and AF
Hi all. Here in SW England we’ve had such heavy, humid weather the past few days. Does anyone else struggle with more breathlessness and fatigue in these conditions? I have persistent AFib and normally get a bit puffed, but this seems twice the normal load, Not to mention the havoc it has caused with

Update on post ablation - day 6
Hi. Well after posting such a positive message to try to cheer up anyone waiting for their first ablation, I came back down to earth with a bump. I felt so well on Wednesday (ablation on Tuesday) that I did everything I felt like doing but at about 01.30, I got a full-blown AF episode which I wasn't

Risk vs reward in clinical trials
Morning folks, I just finished reading my clinical protocol consent paperwork and don’t get the good warm feeling that the risk is worth the reward. This trial is through Sarah Cannon Research and involves a first in human investigational drug called TAK 280. It utilizes an approach already in clinical
