Cardioversion + TEE
My EP has ordered a cardioversion for me, my first since I was diagnosed with AF end of June 2021. What I didn’t know until I talked to the scheduler yesterday is that it will be preceded by a transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE). I also learned that my EP, who is the most experienced member of the

So here we go again…(well sort of)
So the Flutter ablation worked perfectly in 2018, save for triggering the Fibrillation. The catheter cardioversion fixed that three weeks later and then things were perfect until September 2019. Flecainide kept things completely clear until this year when I have had half a dozen short lived episodes,

AF Continues.
I had to go for a ecg 2 days ago which was about 8 weeks after my cardioversion. Today the phone conversation told me I had gone back into AF. Disappointed but to be honest not unexpected. I am one of those that do not experience any symptoms and the only way I suspected I had gone back into AF was when

Elevated heart rate.
Morning all. I have noticed my heart rate running quite fast even during the night. This is a new one for me. I was diagnosed a fib in Jan and take Verapimil and Apixaban. My question is should I try and talk to my gp (if I can) or battle on. Waiting for CV but now just getting a call in Oct. Many thanks

Cardioversion
Hi All, Really appreciate the advice and wisdom people have thrown my way. I’m trying to follow your advice with keeping diaries and eating healthy. But some days I haven’t recorded things or eaten as well as I should of done. I was diagnosed with AF at the beginning of July and was placed on Bisoprolol

About 1 month ago, I found your forum. That put an end to my afib episodes getting more frequent. I got the book the Afib cure. I changed my diet, I not only sleep better, my frequent trips to the bathroom (following colon cancer 8 years ago,) stopped! I am 57 years old, very active with a 40 resting

Any Cons to Orchiectomy?
Currently on Eligard & Zytiga and strongly considering an Orchiectomy. Is there any benefit to Eligard over surgery and testicle removal? I understand all of the psychological aspects, I'm interested in any treatment advantage between long term LHRH agonists vs testicle removal. My Gleason scores

What is the chance of progression post castration surgery?
I posted a few months ago that I was considering the surgery. I did have the surgery in July. My MO supported my idea and stated that it would have the same effect as ADT. He also stated that it is not a cure. The reasoning for me to get the surgery was the fact that my MO said that I could not take

22 with Paroxysmal Afib
I just need a bit of reassurance really. I was ‘diagnosed’ with paroxysmal Afib in early July in a&e, with an EKG monitor, but when I went to the doctor to discuss, he didn’t believe that I have it. Is it possible that the a&e doctor got it wrong? I have had a echo and everything looked normal as well

Post ablation for paroxsysmal AF on 25/08/21
Hi everyone, Just thought I'd share my story for some info for people of a similar age to me experiencing afib as it can be difficult to find much info from younger sufferers. I'm 35 years old and I had my first Radio frequency ablation for paroxsysmal afib on Wednesday after a good number of years

Amiodarone
I have been, for more than 2 yeas, on Flecainide (150 mg), Sotalol (80 mg) and Digoxin (187.5 mg) and had 3 cardioversions, the last one didn't work. My AF was on and off since then, and my energy deteriorated by the day. I didn't opt for and Ablation, as suggested by my Car since I'm 83 and as I heard

Has anyone experienced excruciating pain after a few weeks of starting Xofigo (Radium 223)? Started 08/04/2021. Hospitalized since Sat-8/21
Oncologist states they don’t see it is cancer related from CT Mylogram. They see degenerative disk disease which we know he has a past back injury from 1995. She states it could be from the Xofigo attacking the cancer cells. Thoughts?

Movelat cream v Edoxaban
My GP has prescribed Movelat cream for me. I am on Edoxaban 60 mg plus Bisoprolol 2.5 mg for AF. GP says it's okay to use the cream but pharmacist says it may conflict with my anticoagulants. W hat should I do. No help on the internet.
