I AM ON STUDY TRANSPLANT LIST
I signed up at my Transplant Hospital to be one of the study participants in the hep C+ deceased kidney transplant recipients. The transplant doctor said it could be three days or 70 days until I receive a kidney, but it will not be waiting four more years on the Wait List. I was put on the Wait List

WHETHER TO COME OFF AMIODARONE - DIFFICULT DECISION.
My husband suffered a heart attack 12 months ago with mild to moderate damage. Stents were put in which went well, but 4 hours later he went into fast AF. Amiodarone was given intravenously which stopped the AF at first but during the night he kept switching between sinus rhythm and AF. He was then

Treating Pulmonary Embolism: How Safe and Effective Are New Devices?
While most patients are treated with
anticoagulants
(commonly known as blood thinners), the use of novel interventional devices that remove or dissolve clots in the lungs has significantly increased in recent years.

AF no attempt to convert
I have had AF for two years. I didn’t know I had it because it’s not rapid. I had been on bisopropol for many years for my high blood pressure. I came off of it due to my Heart rate running very low at night. I feel so much better now. They never attempted to cardiovert me and I still don’t understand

Seven Key Recommendations for Managing Blood Clots
There are new uncontrolled trials looking at direct oral
anticoagulants
like rivaroxaban, apixaban, and dabigatran. Currently there is no convincing evidence that direct oral
anticoagulants
confer a benefit for secondary thromboprophylaxis in anti-phospholipid syndrome.

Spotting or miscarriage
Hi All, I’m having a bit of a stress. I got my first BFP on Wednesday from a fresh embryo transfer. My viability scan is on Thursday 21st November. We’ve been trying for 5 years. Over night (Saturday night/Sunday morning) I started spotting brown quite lightly. I managed not to panic as I know this

I have atrial fibrillation. I went off of blood thinners due to extreme bleeding from my bladder when taking blood thinners. I then had a massive stroke and have recently been put on clopidogrel and aspirin but I am still bleeding heavily from bladder with very large clots. Any suggestions?

Recurrent miscarriage - what tests should I be having to investigate?
Morning all, Since my last miscarriage I have since been offered a battery of tests to investigate this both through the NHS and privately. It is suspected the last miscarriage was with a PGS normal embryo (although it was female tissue so there is a 50:50 chance it was my tissue). I had a MMC then
