Steroids, statins, strange query
I was put on 80mg Atvostatin mid Aug following a TIA/Afib episode and diagnosis. From mid September I started to suffer an intermittent throbbing, burning pain on the ball of my foot and last three toes. It comes on suddenly such as during the short 1 mile walk I’ve just completed. Bloods in Sept showed

hi again I recently posted that my blood
test
showed
ALT
50 and ALP 177. My GP is repeating tests. I’ve been reading a lot about the progression of liver disease from fatty liver onwards. I have read that all types of scans can detect fatty liver and other problems.

Liver enzymes
Gradually both went down to normal and Nils blood
test
and ultrasound were normal. However,
ALT
has gone back up to 72 and ALT 64. My GP is stumped. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Thank you

blood test showed high ALT levels
Hi so recently had a blood
test
done everything was fine apart from my liver my
ALT
level 18 months ago was 26 now it’s 106 🤷♀️. My doctor has booked me in for an abdominal scan so waiting on that. Nothing has changed for this to warrant this reading.

Grade 3 Fatty Liver - Liver Enzymes keeps on elevating
Last month I was diagnosed with grade 3 fatty liver through an ultrasound. I am 27 & extremely obese ( BMI - 33 ) . Just before that I had a drug reaction which led to short term Hemolytic Anemia and Jaundice . At that time everything on my LFT was elevated . It's been 40 days everything else on my LFT

Fibrosis?
Hi there. Continuing my journey to recovery, I was today told by my doctor that I need to have a blood test to see if I have any scarring of the liver. My LFT’s are better than they were in June last year. An ultrasound in August 23 noticed a fatty liver. So, can you still get scarring of the liver

Docetaxel not working so stopped
Also, my liver function blood
test
results - ALP and
ALT
have shot up so my onco has cancelled the chemo. I asked what's next then and his first answer was "I'm not sure"! When pressed he said there is Cabizataxel and/or Carboplatin available on the NHS.

Buprenorphine
Good Morning, I wondered if anyone could help with the following. I have had a call from my GP asking me to go in to see him about a couple of Liver Blood Tests I have had recently which show elevated SERUM GAMMA GT and ALT/SGPT serum levels. I want to be prepared in case he says that the Buprenorphine

Blood tests
In November last year I had an abnormal blood
test
result at hospital (
ALT
was 88, other liver tests were in range). I was told by my GP that this could be because of the statins I am on so she recommended that I come off these and have a blood test again in a months time.

5 year diagnosis anniversary!
I just passed my 5 years diagnosis anniversary, and I’m happy to report that my treatment has been durable and my PSA remains < 0.01. At diagnosis, I had a PSA of 211, an alk phos above 900, multiple Mets, a Gleason of 9 (5+4), and a wonky, non-hereditary PTEN gene. My treatment from day 1 has been
