Human beings have evolved to suffer, and we are better at suffering than anything else.
Life’s persistent background hum of “this isn’t quite okay, I need to improve this,” coupled with occasional intense flashes of horror and
adrenaline
are what kept human beings alive for millions of years. This urge to change or escape the present moment drives nearly all of our behavior.

5k time and Race for Life
If so, do you find that the atmosphere and
adrenaline
helps you to run better than you do alone? 2. Any tips on what I can do over the course of the next couple of weeks to increase my speed? Many thanks in advance for any replies :-)

The 'We Own The Night' women's 10k - and how we owned it!
Having had a nasty cough earlier in the week, that afternoon I’d gone to buy some back-up drugs, and the pharmacist had suggested that the running and
adrenaline
would suppress the cough naturally.

Ugh, I thought I'd beaten this!
I have been having insomnia problems for a few months (with horrible 3am
adrenaline
rushes that seem to be hormone related), but in the main the anxiety & panic have pretty much gone away, until a couple of days ago!

Triggers for AF
I have a feeling that any
adrenaline
boost like exercise, stress, anxiety, alcohol sets mine off. Feedback much appreciated.

No walks for a month and then 2 in 2 day's!!!
Think I'm running on adrenalin fueled by Bluebells Sun and Malvern Hills views. I made it to the top of the Malverns today, Its one of the easier places to get to the ridge but the view is still great from there and there's a couple of memorial seats nicely positioned for those of us who need a little

6 years ago I came down with a mystery illness. So far no doctors had been able to give me a diagnosis, could it be thyroid? More details..
However when I do drink my body reacts by making me sweat and shake – again what feels like
adrenaline
. This happens with cold drinks, so is not to do with the warmth from hot drinks.

I now seem to have no reliable hyper/hypo signs to guide my treatment. Any ideas?
At my appt last week my gp seemed to think that my meds were a little high and that this means I'm producing too much
adrenaline
, so my resting pulse may be fine but when something makes me excited, too much
adrenaline
is produced. At that stage I would've taken any advice because I felt so ill.

Wk 7 Run 1 done and dusted.
I think when there is a big step up in distance you have an extra bit of
adrenaline
but when you then realise you have to do the same again and no more stopping it is a different mental challenge.

Week 9 run 1 done - I'm rockin'
I think the adrenalin is pumping. The excitement of graduation is making me sprout wings! When Laura told me I'd got just 5 minutes left to run of the 30 minutes, I couldn't believe it. I could have run for another 30 minutes (ok, that's perhaps a tad of an exaggeration) I still find that first 5

MPD Voice Fundraising News – Abseil Challenge and The Deep RiverRock Belfast City Half Marathon
This promises to be an
adrenaline
filled experience, as you learn how to abseil outdoors, no previous experience is required as fully trained instructors will take you through everything you need to know. Friends and family are very welcome to come along on the day and watch you from the ground.

Neurontin, for nerve pain, does it affect arterial inflammation?
Presumably, part of the brain's limbic system, the hippocampus may be damaged by stress chemicals (such as
adrenaline
and cortisol) in CFS and FMS patients. The hippocampus is responsible for controlling the stress response network.

My first ever 10k, on my birthday!
The
adrenaline
of the race really does sweep you along. There were a couple of ks about halfway through where I stopped feeling like a middle-aged lady tortoise and more like a real runner, legs and arms going in perfect synch, body and breathing obeying, and just cruising along.

Help with test results please - Addisons disease?
These tests show that I have very low cortisol still (24 hr saliva) despite 6 months doing CT3M and a few months on nutri adrenal extra (had to stop due to
adrenaline
surges). They also show high blood glucose, normal/highish aldosterone, high renin and inflammation.
