With indecent haste, we're approaching February 2021 and the next annual Tinnitus Week. I know, I know - how is it December already?
As part of the build-up, our campaigns manager Emily would love you to get in touch with her and share your experiences of seeing GPs about tinnitus - good, bad and neutral.
Share your stories with her via emily@tinnitus.org.uk
When I asked GP six years ago to be referred for hearing aid assessment he asked whether I had T and I stated ‘yes’. The referral letter said I did NOT have T. By the time I had the audiology appointment it was found I had cancer so I didn’t bother the audiologist with it. After three years I had an audio review and did mention I had T. “How do you deal with it? “ I was asked. “By ignoring it” was my true answer. End of story!
I saw my gp 6 weeks ago..and had an urgent referal for ent..im still waiting..havnt heard anything.
Thanks to Rosie and Lolla for sharing their experiences. I'm going to forward these to Emily. Future readers might just want to send their experiences directly to her using the address in the original post.😀
