Mom detected with invasive ductal carcinoma
First when my mom told me about the lump, I took her for checkup followed by mammography appointment and FNAC test which created suspicion for cancer. Next was going to a surgeon for removal and during that procedure there was a frozen section report which confirmed cancer (Invasive ductal carcinoma)

Hi, I’m new here though my breast cancer diagnosis was many years ago in 2004 when I was 43, I had the usual investigations followed by lumpectomy, mastectomy and axillary clearance then chemo and radiotherapy, I am so lucky to have remained cancer free, it was triple negative, grade 3, stage 2 if I

Gap in radiation
I have been advised 28 session of radiation(Tomotherapy) post 16 cycle of chemotherapy. Till now 12 session done. But due to some maintenance issue, till now 5 days gap has come. I want to know if it impacts the effectiveness of the treatment? I underwent mastectomy and reconstruction of breast

Post Vasectomy Pain
I had a vasectomy in 1992. Immediately I knew something wasn't correct on the right side; very painful and hot. Told it will settle! Well after years of antibiotics and anti-inflammatories, a Urology Surgeon finally decided to remove the right testicle and give me a prosthesis one. Well, you'd think

GP wants to reduce my dose
Hi all I'm taking 125 mcg of levothyroxine and 20mcg of liothyronine. My levothyroxine had been increased by 25 mcg approx January this year as I had ongoing fatigue symptoms. GP had suggested levo increase. At the same time, he tested iron and that was found to be a little low. He prescribed me Syrton

Surprise return!
Many years ago I had a total hysterectomy after suffering from endometriosis for 14 years. I'd had my children and was fed up with the constant pain and trying various treatments. After different tests to rule out certain things, today I was told it had returned and was attached to the blood vessel on

Bladder endometriosis
After suffering from endometriosis for 14 years and having my children, I decided to have a total hysterectomy. Today I found out it's has returned but attached to a blood vessel on my bladder. Slightly shocked as my hysterectomy was 18 years ago. Has this happened to anyone else?

Getting Mom treated for breast cancer
Today doctor took a piece of lump from my mother's breast and did biopsy. He confirmed it's cancer. I trust him but there was no sign in previous reports. He said mastectomy is required. So, we proceeded with it. Now what will be our next steps. Doctor will brief us later. He is also sending the breast

B12/PA test results, input please
I'm a 61 year old male who has had symptoms consistent with PA most of my life. Although I feel like crap most of the time, I have managed to keep fit/exercise frequently and eat a "whole foods" (lower case!) diet. BMI is about 22. I've been investigating PA as a source of my issues since 4/2019, when

How much?????
Good afternoon! I was told by my orthopaedic consultant that I have 8 stone to lose before I can be considered for the two total knee replacements I require. He is a lovely man...not fat shaming just speaking the truth. The biomechanics of a new knee couldn't cope with any more weight. I have already
