How do I know what stage of endo I had when I wasn’t told?
Hi, I’ve found it really interesting reading about the experiences of others on here. One thing I notice about women who have been diagnosed more recently is that they seem to be told what stage their endo is. I was diagnosed 12 years ago after years of pain and bowel problems. I assume my experience

Just now discovering things I really never wanted to know.
Hello, I just joined to see what everyone is talking about. I have been diagnosed with serous cell uterine Stage III by one doc and Stage IV by another doc. I've had 6 rounds of chemotherapy of paclitaxal and carboplatin. In addition I am HER2+. So I received transtuzamab along with chemo. Had surgery

On going Pain after knee op
I had an op for total knee replacement last year, but still get a strange pain in the leg it feels like a bone moving under the knee , cracks and sends a pain through the leg. A bit like when you hit the funny bone in your arm but slightly more severe. Any ideas on what to do ?, other than persist

Hello. I had my dreaded mirena coil removed yesterday, bit of a procedure as the strings were inside uterus etc but pleased it is out. I’ve been advised I will always need to take something for stage 4 endo and adeno as I’m only allowed one more surgery which is hysterectomy and likely colostomy bag.

Anyone experienced perimenopause with endometriosis?
Hi everyone. I’m 44 and I’ve already mentioned in previous posts that I had a hysterectomy 4 years ago (everything removed apart from 1 ovary). As well as having adhesions I’m pretty sure my endo has returned as my pain has got worse and my bowel symptoms have returned. I also think I’m going through

Previous post a mess, so I’ve edited. GP phone consultation tomorrow. Please may I have help interpreting last two iron panel studies…
… Comments on thyroid and nutrient tests would be welcome too I have a phone consultation with GP tomorrow and because I don’t know what to make of my iron overload studies I don’t really to know what to ask her regarding re-testing. As you can see, apart from ferritin, which has dropped possibly due

Mirena for heavy periods
Hello, I had the Mirena coil fitted 4 months ago for heavy periods, with fibroids and adenomyosis. I had to wait a year to get a gynecology appointment, and had a hysteroscopy, and the Mirena fitted at the same time. I have not had a follow up appointment, and have been finding it hard to even get through

Advice on open surgery
Hi ladies, I have had an MRI scan that showed extensive endometriosis… without going into too much detail, basically everything is stuck together; ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus with adhesions to the bowels… ☹️ I’ve been told at 45 it’s best to just have a full hysterectomy (I’m lucky enough to have

Mirena coil moved, strings missing, possible surgery needed to remove.
I suffer with stage 4 endo which continues to return despite a number of surgeries including two excision with endo specialist. My last major surgery I was told they’d be inserting mirena coil, I didn’t want it and told them that but they insisted it was pretty much the “only way to keep it under control

Fibroids: Non-Surgical Treatment
After being told that I had 10 fibroids just before the pandemic, it became a perilous and slow journey figuring out what would be the best method to remove them (I had a prior operation that prevented me from directly going into surgery). I found a video that instructed I use Bladderwrack, Irish Moss

Having a Bad Day
Hi Guys, I’m really sorry this is my first post and it’s not exact positive. I’m having a mare of a day. I can’t have kids, just not happening. I have a miracoil? Something like that! Because it’s supposed to help with the symptoms and my gynaecologist said kids aren’t an option so might as well get

Anybody had multiple surgeries to remove endo, then total hysterectomy?
I'm trying to get some advice from any ladies who have had multiple laparoscopies to remove endometriosis and then ended up eventually having a
total
hysterectomy
(uterus + ovaries removed). How did you decide when it was enough and then decide to have the
hysterectomy
?
