Hello all this is my first post although I have been a member of this group for quite a while and have taken so much advice from all the posts. For the past year I have been working on gut health and maximizing my Vitamins. I have been taking Vits – D with K2, B complex with folate not folic acid (

New blood test results
Hi all, Please see my first results 6 weeks after introducing T3. I'm on 125mcg of levo and 10mcg of lio. I am very confused because I was certain that my current symptoms were due to being undermedicated! And how can my T4 be top of range again despite me reducing my levo and introducing T3. TSH 0.007

Next step in solving the mystery of my burning feet, but need a little bit of advice
Hi all I’m in need of some more advice. As suggested, I’ve tried raising my vitamin levels since Nov 2023 and although not perfect, they’ve gone up. I’m still having burning in my feet so decided to go to a consultant. Below are my most recent bloods. 7th Feb 2024 Medichecks Blood tests

Hypothyroid for 30 years
I've been Hypothyroid for 30 years, I take Levothyroxine 100μg during the night - to keep it separate from all the other meds I have for other conditions. I follow the advice that certain foods are 'not helpful' for a hyperthyroid condition (Brussel sprouts, Cauliflower - which I have very occasionally

interesting tweet on Lu-177
cycle 17 of Lu-177 in Australia and still benefitting! Like the socks too! Normal bloods and renal function too wow shows ‘one size fits all’ decision making on treatment protocols has to be challenged imo

Tsh 4.02 and t4 15.7
Hi I am just wondering if these results would be considered hypothyroidism if we used same parameters as USA etc . I thought I heard this before on this site. This result is a friends from 3 years ago .should someone euthyroid have tsh below 1 ? And so could they have been in first stages of hypothyroidism

A better appointment today!
After months of visiting the doctors surgery and having small levo increases with no change in my symptoms i have finally seen a sympathetic and intrigued doctor. He was reading my notes whilst i was explaining my symptoms and that 50mcg levo isn't cutting it, he stopped me in my tracks and said "no

What's happening?
Trying Thyroid s for the last few weeks. Started off at half a tablet a day for about 2 weeks and then increased to 1 tablet a day. New blood test have shown liver doesn't seem to like it. Alanine transaminase 75 (range 0-34). Alkaline phosphatase 159 (range 30-130). TSH now 0.08 was 3.71, free T3 4.9

Thyroid
function
shows as normal in my
test
results. So almost a year down the line, from a tentative diagnosis of PMR in Nov 2022, I'm not sure that I am any further down the line.

BBC Article : Prescription drugs sold online without robust checks
Whenever I see this type of article - the BBC and others produce these things every couple of years, I think - I start worrying that I'm going to lose access to thyroid hormones on the web. I know this subject came up with the MHRA last year or the year before, but I don't have a link. Link : https:

Dr appointment
Following on from my blood results posted yesterday, I had a phone appointment today. It was with a doctor I don’t know from another practice, and I hope I never have to consult with her again. First thing she asked was why have I stopped taking my medication?!! I assured her I haven’t (this seems

Thyroid hormones in the regulation of brown adipose tissue thermogenesis
This paper is the fourth most-cited in 2023 from the Endocrine Connections journal. Basic thyroid research is interesting. It is read. Scientists and some medical professionals do want more understanding. As do patients. It gets pretty complicated but the point is, thyroid hormone controls temperature
