Advice regarding Thyroid levels
Hi Could do with some advice regarding my thyroid test levels. I have Hashimoto's but am not taking thyroid medication due to my TSH levels not being high enough yet. I was diagnosed just over 2 years ago after my health had declined for several years. My GP did however agree to a 25mcg Levothyroxine

On Lithium, have hypothyroidism,no longer responding to T4 and less to T3. Starting low iodine diet.
I have just started a low Iodine diet as set out by a recent book advocating this to reset the thyroid for Hypothyroidism patients. I have been on Lithium by Bipolar for 15 years. 7 years ago I developed Hypothyroidism. Initially I partially responded to T4 but after 3-4 years I completely slowed down

I have had some unusual test results. I have been on 75 mcg levothyroxine for a number of years but my latest blood tests show tsh 4.6 and T4 19. This has been repeated 3 times now just to be sure and the results are the same. I always take the thyroxine at least an hour before breakfast. I am

I had tests done at Monitor my Health which have come back without ranges on so I’ve had to guess. I did the tests as you’ve advised in the past. So: TSH 0.01 FT4 12.2 FT3 5.0 My endo is aware of the low TSH. I’ve been feeling dreadful for a while now and seeing the doctor tomorrow

High BP, abdominal pain and sickness and UTI
I initially had bouts of anaemia and tiredness throughout the early 2000s and was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism around 2010. I was told that my excess weight would drop off me after being prescribed Levothyroxine. That didn't happen but I did get side effects and symptoms of an underactive thyroid

Suppressed TSH Low T4
Hi all, Looking for some advice. I am currently on T4 only due to being pregnant. Being on T4 only I am finding that while my T4 levels are low or only just in range my TSH is suppressed or under range. Luckily I have spoken to a consultant today who is increasing my T4 despite my TSH being suppressed

TSH at 5 weeks pregnant
Hey, I’m 5 weeks pregnant after IVF and my had my TSH checked on Monday, it was 2.14, I spoke to my GP yesterday who said I’m under 2.5 so it’s ok and they will check me again in a few weeks and to stay on same dose 125. I had another blood test yesterday and it’s come back at 2.41. I know technically

low levels of T4 & T3 on 3 grains of NDT
Dear all, Again I need some help with my blood tests interpretation and further steps. I’m currently on 3 grains of thyroid-s and my results are as shown on the table below. Both FT3 & FT4 levels are not satisfactory. Could this be because of the low levels of ferritin, D3 and B12? Or do I need to

Endo consultation today for low TSH
Hi, I have an appointment with an endo at Charing Cross Hospital today at 2pm (with a [name edited]) to discuss my very low (below range) TSH. My GP referred me (thanks, NOT) because he wants to further reduce my levo from 125mcg to 100mcg. I'm the daft beggar that also takes 18.75 liothyronine by importing

Steroid Inhalers and Thyroid levels
However a recent thyroid blood
test
gave a very high reading for
T4
levels. Do steroid inhalers affect your thyroid levels? Do the side effects of hoarse voice and leg cramps and flushed cheeks go away! Thank you

Update on Endo and WLAMS
Re the Endo who was determined to take away my T3 whilst all I wanted was a blood test to include T3. After an exchange of letters, he phoned this morning. He had back pedalled so far he was out of site. He agreed T3 was vital, he agreed testing the full TSH, T4 and T3 were needed to make a positive

Test results confusing
My mum has had an underactive thyroid for years...alongside type 1 diabetes. She was told she wasn't having enough levothyroxine, so the doctor wanted her to put it up to 100, but she asked to go on 75, as she felt 100 would be too much. The doctor agreed. She had a blood test on the 7th December and

Thyroid hormone and cortisol!
According to Paul Robinson in his book recovering with T3, he states that thyroid hormone and cortisol need to be considered together. Then he states that thyroid replacement can worsen cortisol insufficiency. It's on page 316. Then he States higher cortisol/effects reduce TSH and T4 to T3 conversion

T3 Help!
Reading about T3, it appears my endo is treating me like
T4
i.e. having the blood
test
6 weeks later. Apparently T3 should be going up in small increments every 2 weeks. My blood tests seem really weird to. I will put them below.
