Gabapentin and liver resection
The help I have been given from this forum has been invaluable, I don't know where I would be without it. I have weaned myself off of Pramipexole and am now using Gabapentin, I don't think I have suffered anything like some of the other members. My question is, I need to up the dose, I am taking 1 x

Liver cancer
They are looking into offering him a
liver
resection
to cut away the cancer or ablation. The
liver
resection
will have to be agreed by the surgeon so we have to wait now to see if he agrees to the surgery. Otherwise it will just be ablation, which I think Nick is going to go for anyway.

liver resection - nearly 3 years on
hi, I had my
liver
resection
in sept 2020 due to a large
liver
adenoma (tumour) inside that had ruptured (unknown to me that it existed). Nearly 3 years on, I still get so much pain around my scar which is all the way across my abdomen.

I'm having my
liver
resection
on Friday 18th August to remove HCC and I'm just falling apart. I'm so scared and nervous. I feel sick, I'm bloated (from stress), I feel I have no desire to eat properly so I'm eating the wrong foods. I'm getting heart burn too.

I'll never really know when or where I picked the parasite up, or how long I had it, but the position, very close to the portal vein, and damaged it had already caused was extensive enough to need right sided
liver
resection
surgery quite quickly, including the gallbladder.

Surgery to remove peritoneum and

not an option. Does anyone have experience of just Caelyx? Is it effective on its own? Thankyou

My precious daughter
She has currently got 12 of these tumours in her
liver
. In January 2022 she had a
liver
resection
, as the largest tumour was hemorrhaging at the time. The right half of her
liver
was removed. The
resection
was carried out by two surgeons, during a 5 hour operation at Manchester Royal Infirmary.

Is HE always inevitable with severe chronic liver disease?
She has at least 15 of these tumours taking over her
liver
now. She has had a
resection
last year and two embolizations this year and now it is far too risky to do anything else. I would like to know if HE is always the end result of severe chronic liver disease?

Liver
resection
and lymph node thingy. Open surgery. 12 weeks later a nurse said your biopsy has just come back, you don’t have cancer but we want to do chemo on you to mop up any floating cancer cells that may or may not be there. A bile stent would not come out.

Psychological and fitness assessment form
Hi, I’m filling in my transplant assessment form for a meeting in a few weeks time and some of the questions seem vague. There is a question regarding how healthy I feel today with a scale from 1 to 10 ( eq5d ). Does this refer to mental, physical or general health ? Also , if you say you feel too
