I have recently been prescribed Doxazosin to help with hypertension. I was concerned because one of the minor side effects is diarrhoea. I already have chronic diarrhoea due to microscopic colitis. Raised Liver Markers - Octasa/ Mesalamine?
I started taking Octasa for Crohns in October 23. Just had blood tests (for another issue) and dr called to say that my liver enzyme markers were raised (ALT 255, AST 99, ALP 239, GT 334.. all substantially above the top end of normal) and they want to do an ultrasound to check my liver. The only difference

Familial Polycythemia
Hi,I wondered if anyone could advise on what care we should be getting for familial polycythemia? my 2 children (age 24 & 27) and I were tested at Guys a few years ago for the Jak2 gene, it was negative & we were discharged. Our blood tests always show a red cell count around 5.6, Haemoglobin 160

probiotics stomach upset
Hi, I was interested in trying probiotics, namely Kefir to help restore gut microbiome since the Lanzoprazole destroys them. The dietitian recommended this too, as did my surgeon. I already eat lots of live yoghurt with no problems. However I’ve been getting a lot of wind and diarrhoea since I started

New to world of IBS - How do you balance your diet and still enjoy life?
Hi everyone, I am new to this network and I look forward to sharing experiences with my fellow community😀 I have always loved bread, especially craft-baked / slow fermented / sourdough types but have moved away from even these until I better understand the gremlin in my gut 👿 Before IBS said "Hello

Enemas
Wow 😯. That’s a title eh?! Straight to your imagination I reckon. DON’T read this post whilst having your dinner. I went to the gym this afternoon. I had very little energy and had a strong sense that my meds hadn’t really hit the spot? I reflected on this and observed that I hadn’t had a bowel movement
