Ped5i/Tadalafil etc as a benefit to SE of ADT?
Tadalafil , etc is prescribed for ED, BPH and PAH (pulmonary arterial hypertension). It is pretty much agreed upon that Tadalafil increases insulin sensitivity thus improving lean body mass, particularly around the gut, improves Testosterone/estrogen relationship and is good for heart and vascular health

Metabolic symptoms at 3am
With increasing frequency, I wake up at about 3am feeling unusually hot, like a hot flash. Lasts about 30 minutes. As it tends to follow a larger than normal evening meal, with some alcohol, I don't think it is hormone related. If this is some kind of transient metabolic phenomenon - is it more likely

Just saw Endocrinologist; Cutting Back on Insulin
I’m pretty thrilled! Pre-transplant I had controlled my type II diabetes for a little over 15 years without meds. The anti-rejection meds have changed all of that. I’ve been taking 12 units long lasting insulin at bedtime and 1 unit of short acting for every 10 carbs with meals. But I’ve been experiencing

Covid Booster
I live in the Scottish Borders, my husband recently had his Booster (Spring One ) on Wednesday he is over 75. I got the winter one the same time as him. I didn’t get any notification to have one this time. So I called the number on his letter to ask if there had been an oversight as I have cirrhosis

Airport travel with Injections
Can some experienced travellers who use Pegasys give me some advice please. I am travelling this week from the UK to Mexico, and have bought a Disoncare insulin cooler to keep my Pegasys syringes in whilst travelling. I will keep this in my Hand Luggage, but I’m not sure what to do with the needle

Metformin experiences
Hi all, Hoping for some advice/experiences. I have been diagnosed “unexplained” however I do seem to have lots of follicles in my ovaries and although I don’t have any other typical “PCOS” symptoms, my new specialist seems to think as I am so active/fit I have masked the other symptoms and I may be

The 'Brain Energy Gap' and its possible implication on the progress of PD.
Has anyone else seen the work of Professor Stephen Cunnane on the 'brain energy gap' and its implications for PD, Alzheimers and cognitive impairment? I've put a link to one of his talks below, but to summarise: - Cognitive impairment and brain health in PD, Alzheimers, is due in part to an 'brain
