FONDAPARINUX
The last surgery I had, I used
fondaparinux
as I am opposed to animal products when I can reasonably avoid them. I live in a different part of the country now, where this mind set is not as common, and there is a lot of head scratching with the doctors on this request.

Hughes syndrome antiphospholipid syndrome
One of my strong beliefs is, where possible, the use of a finger-prick self-testing machine (used in collaboration with the patient's anti-coagulation clinic).[7]

Update on my appointment with Haematologist
So he said I had choices, Warfarin, but given my stomach problems, probably not a good idea,
Fondaparinux
(Arixtra) injection, or as he preferred, remain on Heparin for another 3 months, then see about transitioning to Arixtra injections, he is suggesting the latter as there is even lesser a risk with

Anti phospholipid antibody with Hemorrhagic disorder
I have a rare blood disorder and I inject Arixtra(
Fondaparinux
) at this time. Heparin and Agatraban both had the opposite effect on me. Due to the expense, my doctor has recommended possibly switching to Rivaroxaban. I am a little nervous to change what I know is working. Camie

Switching from Tinzaparin to Fondaparinux
Saw Prof Beverly Hunt last week who is keen for me to switch to
Fondaparinux
as it doesn't lead to bone-loss (I'm already osteopenic) Is anyone else on it - I understand it's quite expensive ( ..but then "I'm worth it" LOL!) - and has anyone else done a similar switch?

Anyone on Fondaparinux?
I've been switched from Tinzaparin to
fondaparinux
due to osteoporosis, but only at 5mg per day which I think is too little for my weight (70k) - leaflet says this is correct dose for 50Kg or less. Lovely thought it would be to lose 20kg in the next few weeks, I'm thinking it's not likely!
