Sweating
Hello, I have PMR and GCA. I have had a problem with sweating over a year. Today it was 60 degrees and any little physical activity makes me sweat. Before being diagnosed, I never really sweated, even in warm weather. I have thyroid condition, my doctor says it’s not that. I mentioned it to my rheumatologist

Advice needed please about liquid Levothyroxine side effects
Hello, I wrote a post about a month ago saying my adult son was unable to get liquid levothyroxine as it was out of stock. He was taking the brill Pharma brand and tolerated it really well. The chemist managed to source Teva liquid levothyroxine three weeks after we asked for a repeat prescription

Excessive Sweating
Hi, I’m currently on 8mg, after six weeks, thinking of trying 7.5. Problem is, I’m sweating, mostly my face and neck, and am really exhausted. The skin on my arms is very thin, and hurts when I shower. Any suggestions

ADHD and Excessive sweating?
Hi there, I’ve googled whether there’s a link between ADHD and
excessive
sweating
(
hyperhidrosis
) - albeit a slightly small one according to the few studies I accessed. Though I’ve never sought medical help with my sweating I’ve always had an issue. Sweaty hands as a child.

Advice if anyone knows please
does anyone know if it is okay to take Venlafaxine (anti depressant) an hour after Levothyroxine when I eat my breakfast please? I’m currently taking levo in the morning and the venlafaxine at night, but I think taking the venlafaxine at night is causing me sleep problems. Don’t want to try taking

Ichthyosis
I found some odd looking skin and discovered it was likely ichthyosis which apparently can develop in CLL patents. Anyone had any experience with this condition? Any suggestions or cautions?

Hypothyroidism and perimenopause night sweats
Perhaps a niche question but I don't sweat anymore really... It has to be a very hot day. I think I've been having night sweats but I don't wake up drenched... I do wake up sweatier than I've been in years though. My question is, I suppose, should I expect night sweats to be full on or will

Salt - serum sodium
I have just had my two monthly blood test. Whilst my ESR and CRP are within the normal range my serum sodium is 130mmol/L. (133 - 146.00mmol/L). It has been like this for the past year or so and everyone has ignored it 'til now. I am not one for pills unless I really need them like prednisolone. Can

My Heat is fluttering like a butterfly
Hi everyone long time since I was on line, since Friday my heart started to flutter like a butterfly 🦋 I noticed it when I was relaxing on sofa , it started to bother me when I realised it was making me take deep breaths in ,and it isn't just the odd flutter I have about 1 in every 40 seconds. And now

Intermittent RLS: why carbidopa/levodopa????
Can anyone enlighten me as to why the Mayo Clinic suggests carbidopa/levodopa (sinemet) as prn therapy as opposed to ropinorole/pramipexole? I used to have persistent RLS (managed with ropinorole) which thankfully stopped after I stopped my SSRI. Now it’s intermittent and I can’t understand why I should

oxycodone and buprenorphine experiment
as you all may know, I thought buprenorphine was causing some pain issues so I quit taking it and went back to 5 mg of oxycodone three times a day. I gave it a solid month to be sure. this was a terrible terrible mistake. it appears the buprenorphine has changed my body. The oxy was not only mostly

When will it end?
So I’ve lost 3st with slimming world and nine months later can’t stop bingeing and purging. 70 years old and clinging to behaviour I learned at 17. At this precise moment just want to die. What is wrong with me?!!

Two-Week Checkpoint: No Progress
It has been two weeks since my declaration and I haven't lost a pound. I think I have developed an eating disorder because I am very pressured at home (studious family atmosphere LOL). I eat well during the day, every meal is balanced & low-cal, and then after 8 pm, I just can't resist a value pack of

Tardive dyskinesia. Been on the causative med quetiapine 400 mg for 20 years.Unable to get off it. Been creative. I am a registered nurse.
I am an inpatient acute mental health nurse actually - for the last 15 years. I also have Bipolar disorder on lithium. Very well controlled. But side effects of quetiapine were becoming impossible to live with. I tried aripiprazole and a reduction in quetiapine to a disastrous effect. I appeared severely
