Taking Rivaroxaban to prevent DVT.
I had Acute Pulmonary
Embolism
4 years ago, and have to have this NOACs lifetime after D-dimer was very high again 2 years ago. Rivaroxaban doesn't cause side effects.

Anticoagulants stopped by new consultant
Although I hate taking any medication, removing my anticoagulants ( no mention of Bisoprolol) is making me very nervous especially after having had a severe
embolism
. Any thoughts/advice? Sorry for rambling!!

mPca to liver
ER discovered ānumerous liver lesionsā largest 2cm when looking for cause of a pulmonary
embolism
-attack. Had liver biopsy following day waiting for final pathology A shocker because no lymph nodes or bones mets (PSMA 6/2020) and liver enzymes and AST ALT were/still are very good.

Shortness of breath 6 months after ablation
July of 2022 ...out of the blue...pulmonary
embolism
and afib! Finally got an ablation August 2023 but in the last couple months had progressively worse shortness of breath. My EP, cardiologist and pulmonologist couldn't find a clue as to why this occurred!

acute pericarditis
Swift, great workup, no coronary disease, no pulmonary
embolism
, no Aortic dissection. Pericardial effusion, CRP of 22, turns out I have Pericarditis. Not fun. No vigorous exercise for 3 months/ Colchicine, Naproxyn. Interacts with Ibrutanib, so have stopped it.

Advice about experts at London Bridge Hospital
I have an unusual history. In 2007, I recovered from several months in hospital with hypoxia and very severe chest pain only when I was put on heparin. I have a very severe history of clotting on my Mum's side of the family and family and friends begged the doctors to try anticoagulation because

Warfarin
Has anyone experienced Warfarin failing you more than once? I have had three different instances where I had large clots in my lungs while on it. I am still on it (after my coverage from work denied paying for Framing injections - the only anticoagulant that hasn't failed me). Just wondering if this

Pulmonary embolism
I am 5 years post transplant. Recently I've been short of breath and had swollen ankles. A CT scan has shown blood clots in my lungs. Has anyone had this condition?

I was diagnosed with Stage 3c high grade serous ovarian cancer in June 2023 which had spread to omentum and peritoneal lining. I had ascites which was drained twice and have developed a pleural effusion. I had the 3xchemo and debulking surgery then 3 more chemo. Finished treatment on Dec 23. ca-125

Any insight into # platinum chemo cycles?
So I'm about to start cisplatinum + etoposide chemo cycles on wed. next week for NECP/SCCP. The first irritant I have of which I'm sure will not be the only one is: I have no idea what the treatment plan is, I don't know how many cycles I'm scheduled for and what the treatment goal is. Researching

clotting whilst on warfarin for clots in lungs.
Iāve been trying to find out why Iāve had breathlessness for 3 years. In 2021 NHS pulmonary consultant arranged Ct scan abd lung function tests. Lung function tests results said good. Ct scan revealed very mild dry bronchiectasis and very mild emphysema - both too mild to be classed as COPD. Was discharged

8 hour flight
I was diagnosed with ET with jak2 about 5 years ago, my platelets arenāt bad at all only 790 at last count, so am only on mini aspirin at present. Going on 8 hour flight soon, should I take any extra precautions? A colleague told me I should be taking fragmin as such a long flight! Does anyone have any
