Mucuna and carbidopa alone?
(Or Parts of a
carbidopa
tablet? ) Each tablet of
carbidopa
is 25 mg. I’ve heard from one HU participant, that she takes a very small amount (1/4th of a
carbidopa
tablet ) I would appreciate any other’s experiences !

Tablets containing 12.5 mg of
carbidopa

Carbidopa/Levodopa??
I have always taken
Carbidopa
/Levodopa for my RLS. I have always been told it is usually given to Parkinson’s patients but I don’t have Parkinson’s. Anyone else take it?

park_bear made a very compelling argument for taking P5P (active B6)
I have read that only 5%(b) of levodopa before
carbidopa
was added makes it to your brain and after
carbidopa
only 44%(c). If you are going to neutralize the
carbidopa
in your system, it makes sense not to while you maybe don’t need extra dopamine in your brain.

Carpidopa RX
Do many people JUST take
carbidopa
with mucuna for better results? I want to ask my MDS for a RX, but I was quoted today that 30 would cost $248! Since it’s an old generic, I thought it would be dirt cheap! I’m wondering if it’s worth it to help Mucuna cross the BBB for better efficacy.

HDT- B1 overdose and worsening of symtoms
I still have more tremor, could not sleep, and Levodopa/
carbidopa
does not seem to have the same effect as before. Could be this worsening of symtoms caused by B1?

Vyalev, steady levodopa/carbidopa infusion, now available in Canada
It is usually used with
carbidopa
, which stops the body from breaking down levodopa, so that more is available to form dopamine.
Carbidopa
also works to reduce the amount of levodopa that needs to be taken, helping to limit its side effects.

How Much Carbidopa Levodopa After 5-10 Years? Any other meds?
Could those of you who have been diagnosed for 5 to 10 years let me know your daily
Carbidopa
levodopa intake and let me know if you take any other medications as well? I should add that I am 61 years old and I'm in reasonably good health other than the PD.

Off Dyskinesia-anyone else have it? What's your fix?
Which I'd when I started experiencing dyskinesia when the
Carbidopa
/levadopa started to wear off. And was told snd treated by a movement specialist that I was over medicated and attempted to reduce my dosage and frequency.

How long off mirapex before moving on?
A friend with infrequent rls says
carbidopa
levodopa works almost instantly when symtoms began. Because I mays go several days without rls, I would rather have a med that I can take as needed rather than taking a med daily when most days I don't need it. Is this too good to be true?

DHA for dyskinesia also improving sleep?
I'm hoping that might allow me to further reduce my mucuna/
carbidopa
dose and totally eliminate the dyskinesia.

IPX203 shows sustained safety, efficacy in RISE-PD extension trial
Carbidopa
helps prevent levodopa’s conversion to dopamine in the bloodstream, enabling more to reach the brain where it’s needed.
