Overcoming anxiety about going out
Since I started on immunotherapy in January, I've had a few setbacks. I've had episodes of really bad pain - diverticulitis, I've had to have fluid drained from my lung and around my heart - both made me feel very unwell. I now have atrial fibrilation which seems to be a side issue of lung cancer

Has anyone else noticed that their skin on face and scalp has areas of flaky skin, especially at the edges of your hairline behind ears and on scalp. I bought E45 eczema cream but it doesn’t seem to work ? Any advice welcome 🙏

PALB2 Stage 4 A prostate cancer treatment plan.
My Partner has stage 4A prostate cancer spread to the nodules and has the PALB2 gene. How effective is internal and external radiation and ADT as the first line of treatment? Why can't the drs start with PARP inhibitors and chemo which is the standard of care as a second line treatment? Is it because

Hello all. Photo of Stevie. My little girl is growing up. I’m popping in to say I’ve been told, as of last Friday, I’m doing well on Piqray/Alpelesib and Fulvestrant. (Denocumab/Xgeva monthly) For any of you wondering how this regime is. For me it is going quite well but I must say, I have lost a lot

My diagnosis after 6 years, Lymphoma EMZL, AL Amyloidosis and Myeloma
Hi everyone, It's been some time since I updated my situation after having been told my Lung nodules had grown. I had a lung wedge resection last year July after a biopsy which was terrible. I had infections a couple of times after the surgery. That is when I received the devastating news about my diagnosis

how to come off thyroid meds?
At some point relatively soon, I might need to come off thyroid meds to see if I need them. How do I do that?! I've done some researching and reading around this and there seem to be 2 schools of thought. One is to wean off gradually and the other is to go relatively suddenly, because any amount of

Jak2 question and PV question (have medical anxiety so nervous)
Hey everyone sorry for such a long message. I'm a 28M and have had consistent high RBC, HGB, HCT counts for about 8 years now. The numbers though are ever so slightly elevated and range from (5.9-6.1 RBC), (16.7-17.2HGB),and(49-50.4 HCT) during those 8 years they each either went up or down and did NOT

New treatment
2 weeks ago I had liver ablation to remove 3 tumors on my liver. 2 were responding to treatment (anastrozole and kisqali for HER2 neg) and 1 was not. Surgery went well. Biopsy showed that the growing tumor was triple negative. Seemingly the other 2 (breast and hip met) are still HER2 negative. Anyone

Cancer Clinical Trial Participation May Not Actually Improve Survival, Study Says, MedPage Today May 22, 2024
