T3 help
Hi, I have been on T3 only for a few years now and although I don't get it on the NHS, my endocrinologist supports me taking it and tells me that I can source it cheaper than they can, so to just crack on. My Doctors also let me get on with it. They test me and give advice, but as always, they do not

Getting a thyroidectomy soon, what to expect?
Hi, recently diagnosed with a tumour in my thyroid, so team at hospital will be removing the whole thing soon. I am overwhelmed with all this stuff I've been reading here about T4/T3, vitamins, calcium etc. I thought I just had to take a tablet every day, dosage might be adjusted if necessary, but that

High TSH - and GP not advising treatment, any advice?
I've been advised I have abnormal (higher than it should be) TSH following 2 blood tests done over the last 12 weeks . The comment from the GP so far is to do nothing apart from wait 1 year and have another blood test. I've requested an appointment with the GP to discuss this as I'm not happy with a

Is this normal, really feel like throwing in the towel, again.
My last test results (around 8 weeks ago) showed I was almost optimally medicated. I was using Levo at 50 snd t3 at 6 and getting chest pains on exertion but kept on as I felt slightly better than when I started., but only slightly. I raised my Levo by 12.5 and the usual happened - brain fog, exceptionally

Scans other than PSMA for PC
My husband’s PSA continues to rise yet his PSMA scans are all clear. His last PSMA was late October with a PSA of 4.7 His PSA today was 6.5 It seems I have noted on this forum some other type scans should be done besides PSMA. His ALK PHOSPHATE is 85 (normal) Calcium levels all normal. Thanks

Needing advice/suggestions re tweaking NDT
Hello everyone: Hope you’re all doing as well as can be. So, I’m presently taking 90 Erfa + 25 Synthroid, all at once upon waking. I need to make some changes because I’ve lost half the hair on my head, gained 7 lbs and can’t loose the weight, diet has not changed. Been on NDT for the past 2-3 years

Ketones inhibit PCa, in the lab of course, but still...
Just came across an article about this study from Duke researchers. Interesting possibility for dietary intervention? Researchers stress that it's not about the diet, but presence of ketones.

Do I need thyroxine?
I have exhaustion and results a bit like someone else but my GP says my thyroid is normal. I saw your post a few weeks ago. I don't want to feel worse.TSH 6.22 (0.27 - 4.2) and I am also worried that I can never stop. FT4 14.5 (12 - 22) FT3 4.7 (3.1 - 6.8) What shall I do?

Ferritin Questions
Hi everyone. I self inject b12, 3x per week. I also take a daily dose of methylfolate. In the past both of these have been extremely low, along with very low ferritin. Of late I have wondered if my iron was dropping, so requested bloods a couple of weeks ago. Folate happily is pretty good at 19( at

Naturally high vitamin B12
I have had a few tests over the last few years which include Vitamin B12. I am worried that I may not be transporting it to cells as it is very high fir someone does not take supplements. See photo? Everything I question this the doctor just says we'll that's good isn't it. Is it? From what I read

Confusing first results on T4/T3
Hi all, I'm reposting this as I didn't get any replies 😊 Please see my first results 6 weeks after introducing T3. I'm on 125mcg of levo and 10mcg of lio. I am very confused because I was certain that my current symptoms were due to being undermedicated! And how can my T4 be top of range again despite

Hi there! I am 6 months post kidney transplant. First I'd like to say that I was very blessed, I was approved and put on the list May 3, 2023 and I received my new kidney from a perfect match deceased donor June 13, 2023. My transplant team said that is very rare and very lucky. I have had some challenges
