Wet Bathroom floor

Aside from my urinary leakage, I have often found when sitting on the toilet seat and urinating at the same time, that the angle of the stream is such that it gets under the seat and flows out to the floor. Its not only the mess I need to clean up but wet socks and pants,

I initially found that sitting well forward usually works , but its so easy to forget when you're concentrating on stooling.

I no longer sit on the seat but on the ceramic bowl itself. Its not really uncomfortable and i haven't had an accident since.

Have you asked your urologist or the urology nurse for ideas on how to manage this? Sitting on the bowl has to be very uncomfortable and not as safe either. They might have some tricks or techniques to help you with this. And you definitely don't want a wet bathroom floor because you'd be setting yourself up for a slip and a fall. You surely don't want that to happen.

Does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions? As a women, this is outside my area of experience :-)
