Cut down sertraline very very slowly .I cut down 10mg a month, after a year I stopped taking it.this hugely minimises negative reactions, symptoms and side effects .too fast or sudden stopping can make things worse !

It may be you need sertraline or some other form of medication to keep your OCD or intrusive thoughts away.

I,personally, discovered I need medication for my depression for life.which is what I now do.

My life is smooth since I started Sertraline. I had OCD like tendencies before- although it was never my main issue- I find I get stuck in thought loops & the like far less.

Always be on-top of your doctor & pharmacist for either a steady supply of medication/valid RXs, or for instruction on how to safely taper off.
