Perfect animal for Halloween night. If you read BBC news online they have a section called ICYMI with shirt video clips and thereβs one of a baby rhino. It made me think of you after last weeks picture π
I completely forgot Halloween stills when i chose what pic to do .π Thanks for the link and i 've had a look. Its wonderful how rhinos are increasing thanks to the conservation projects. πBaby ones are cute so thanks for telling me. See you at the weekend. Xxπ¦β€π¦
The little owlets are gorgeous, I wonder if they are barn owls ? Great to hear you are getting your steroid jab , best news ever ππ» ππ»ππ»
Hopefully you liver results are just a blip ππΌ.
I still havenβt heard back from rheumy nurse( she was to talk to rheumy) , my lower back has gone into a bit of a spasm , getting aches and pains all overπ
Hopefully all goes well on Friday and rest up next week xxxxππππππ€π€π€
Hi weathervane, thank you so much for your lovely mesdage and good wishes for fri. Im hopeful of liver function being a blip as i don't really want a change of DMARD .
Thats bad of the Rheumy nurse not getting back to you. How long is it?. Are you going to chase it?. Im sorry your suffering now thru lack of treatment. How long is it till you can resume retuximab?.
So glad you liked the owls. It doesnt say what breed they are unfortunately. Id love it if they were barn owls. Maybe a forum member will recognise them?.
Hope you enjoyed the Halloween Strictly. I was thrilled that Rose and Giovanni got the highest score and it was the earliest any one has had 4 10's. Id love them to win but the standard is so high they all are worthy!. π. Halfway already, its flying by!.
Have a better week and if you feel up to it chase that nurse. Best of luck and keep safe. Xxπβ€ππ€πβ€ππ€πβ€ππ€
Hi misty , i really enjoyed strictly on Saturday, Rose is definitely my favourite, such a wonderful dancer and so bubbly πStill not heard from nurse, I will call again tomorrow if theres no call today.
Take care , stay safe π€π»π€π»π€π»for your appointments π xxxxπ€π€
So glad to hear your good news. Hope all goes well on Friday. Also hope the liver tests are just one of those random times when something is off. Thanks for the cute owls pic.
Thank you so much pumpkin for being such a lovely support. I do hope your feet are improving too. Hope gigi is doing well and glad you liked the owl pic.
Another update next week and hopefully i won't feel this irritated nerve. Hopefully the liver is a blip as you say. Its just something else to have to think about. π€
Have a good week yourself and keep safe. Your well named for today !!. π. Hope it was a good one for you. Xxπβ€ππ€β€

Didnt expect that at all but it shows that there are these slots that can be left in clinics!!. So pleased you liked the owls and im looking forward to Bea and Mira's pics. I love them too.
Have a healthy ,safe week and once again ill update this weekend. Xxπ€β€π€ππ€
Hi Misty, lovely photo. I am soooooo pleased for you that you are actually going to get your injection this Friday. Hoorah π. I really hope it works and eases your pain xxx
Thanx so much cecily for your lovely wishes and support. Have really appreciated it.
I do too as foot so bad now. π€.
How are your knees and the wonky cake stand?. Hope you enjoyed painting it.
Wasnt Strictly fab and Lovely Rose and Giovanni getting the highest score earliest in competition ever!!!. Its such a good year this one for high standards.
Have a good week and ill update this weekend. Xxπβ€πβ€π€πβ€ππ€
You are welcome Misty. I have had yet another fall. The exercises given to me by the physio are really painful and my legs ache and cramp and my knees grind bone on bone. It is not pleasant but I am persisting hoping it just improves. Well the wonky cake stand sure is wonky. I think any cake I put on will slide off lol. Worse still I was glazing it ready to paint this week and it is very heavy and my hands are painful. As I turned it over my grip loosened. I grabbed at it and ripped the top off π³ The potter tried to help and ripped two of the ivy leaves I had applied to the stem lol π. We attempted to stick the top back on with a mix of clay and water but it might well crack in the kiln. Never mind it is a learning experience. Clearly I am not a natural potter πππ xxx
Im really sorry cecily at your fall. It must be affecting your confidence so much. Sounds though you need a knee replacement as its bone on bone. Ouch, so painful!. Need to get on the list!!. Is your physio seeing you as a follow up soonish?. I do hope so. Good for you persevering with the exercises, just hope your hard work is rewarded.
Talking of which, sorry about your wobbly cakestand. You've so enjoyed doing it that i hope it can be rescued . Its wonderful to do something different isnt it?.
Oh Misty I was told 4 years ago that I have no cartilage left in either knee, my right kneecap has a hairline crack that wonβt heal and my left kneecap is loose on one side making it readily dislocatable. They told me I had to lose weight. Not easy when you cannot walk far but I went to a Chiropractor , bought equipment and joined a gentle exercise class. It took me 18 months to lose 7 stone. I was fast forwarded for surgery. At my first pre op assessment I had an ear, throat and bladder infection. My second they found that my thyroid was not working. The third they noted a fluctuating heartbeat so I had to see a Cardiologist and undergo tests angiogram, echocardiogram etc which took months. The fourth time I was severely anaemic. The fifth time I had pleurisy. The sixth time they said I had gained a stone and needed to lose it. I lost 19 pounds but when I went for the seventh pre op assessment the anaesthetist was so rude. He said I was disappointing that I had failed to lose enough weight and that my new knees would buckle under my bulk. I walked out and when I got home I took myself off the list. I simply could nit bare to keep going through it. When I saw the Orthopaedic surgeon for my torn tendons and muscles he asked me why on Earth havenβt I replaced your knees. I explained and he said you should have rang me. Since then I have been chronically depressed and piled on the weight during Covid. When I try to walk or exercise I fall. I feel as if I am in a cycle that I cannot break. Sorry long miserable rant xxx
OMG cecily, you've really been thru it one way and another thanks to the prejudices of the nhs!. Im really apalled and just hope this physio will eventually help you . You are stuck in a horrid cycle that needs breaking. π€ lovely. TAKE CAREXxπ€β€π€β€
Thank you so much Misty. I try to laugh it off but they make me feel like a lazy , obese, junk food scoffer when in actual factI am a veggie, I donβt drink milk, I eat raw twice a week, I make our food from scratch. Yes I like an ice cream cone but I make lots of cake for Neil and only have one small piece. When I can exercise the weight goes. Hopefully my legs will strengthen enough for me to get back on the treadmill. If I could have just one knee done my life would be so much easier xxx
I love this pic! The owlets are so cute! One on the end looks like s/he is in the huff!
I havenβt had a booster jab yet. Need to wait six months after 2nd and, as there was a mix up with the timing of my first, it will be January until I get called. Am finding Cop26 a little worrying with all 30000 people from all over the world coming into Glasgow. Concerned that Covid cases in Scotland start to increase again. Clocks going back are great! Extra hour in bed! Not so good going forward βΉοΈ
Iβm pleased to hear that you had a good podiatry appointment. Great that you donβt have to wait long for your steroid injection. Even better that you will only need one visit to the hospital.
This pic appeared in my Facebook newsfeed! Click on it to see it all. Xx
Many thanks ge for your lovely message and great pic. Very clever!!. π€£π€£Thank you too for your lovely good wishes for fri. Will do an update at the weekend.
I saw the news last night and all the delegates arriving plus our Royal Family were there and im just staggered at a) cost and b)carbon emmissions , covid cases it could cause. You must all be very worried about it and wonder what it will achieve except hot air!!. They showed a shot of Joe Biden asleep!!. π€£
The G7 in Cornwall plus 2 big festivals caused cases to spike there!. It just seems so unbelievable really.
Im sorry ge your booster jab is so late , thats a big worry for you too. That mix up was costly wasnt it?. Mine is later than i would have liked being nov but its next week with flu jab afterwards sometime. I dread them as usually flare. Have you had the flu one yet?.
Lovely you liked the owls ge. Certainly the one on the end is not conforming so it made a good pic.
Have a safe, healthy week ge, the extra hour in bed was very welcome but don't like the dark nights earlier!. Still its not for long !!. Xxβ€π€β€πβ€π€β€πβ€
Will maybe let Joe Biden off by saying he was jet lagged!
I got my flu vaccine two weeks ago and had no side effects at all. Not even a sore arm. Nurse at my GP practice gave me it and she was surprised I was so late getting my Covid vaccine. Thought I should have been done in May. Time seems to be going by quickly though so it will probably be January before we know it!
Have a good week and all the best for Friday. Xx π¦
Yes ge, lets be kind to joe Biden and say it was jet lag. Thank you so much for your good wishes for fri and your lovely support. Well done with the flu jab. Its 1 done with 1 to go and your right january will be here before we know it!!. Have a safe, happy week. Hope all your family are well. Xxπ¦β€π¦β€
Perfect cutie pic for Halloween as Stills mentioned. ππ»ππ» They are gorgeous owletsπ₯°. Are you still hearing owls in your area at night? I havenβt heard one for a while but then I donβt have the windows open at night any more. That is good news that at last you are having your long awaited steroid injection.ππ»ππ» Only a couple of days to go!π₯³ Not so good hearing about your liver. I had a liver issue too many years ago but it did right itself again after about a month. I now take Milk Thistle at any signs of liver problems or if I have had a thimble full of alcoholic drink to celebrate a special event. It is great stuff. ππ»ππ» Hoping yours resolves quickly too Misty. ππ» Love and hugs π€πxxx
Thank you spotty for your lovely messages and good wishes for fri. I didnt think of Halloween when i chose the owls but im so pleased you've all liked them so much. No sound of our owls at the mo but today we were entertained by our young squirrel busily burying his nuts. He's very cute too. πΏ
I hope you enjoyed Strictly. I won't spoil it in case you've not seen it yet. A lovely achievement for Rose and Giovanni.
I won't be surprised if liver reading is still high. Ive felt really poorly today so am pleased it's not long till fri. Im bothered if its the mtx or a liver condition so will be glad to get advice.
Sorry you had a liver blip but good it didnt take long to right itself. My mum was same and had fatty liver diagnosed a few years ago. She sorted hers too and it recovered. I even wonder if its screaming at all the drugs i take!!. Anyway, it all gives me confidence so thank you spotty.
Im thinking of your OH for tomorrow and keeping π€for a good outcome. Have a good rest of week and ill be in touch. Xx
Lovely to hear the young squirrel is entertaining you. You canβt beat wildlife to lift your spirits. ππ»Yes we did see all of Strictly and thought what a wonderful performance Rose and Giovanni made. Fabulous.ππ»ππ» I thought it fair who was voted out as much as weβll miss her.βΉοΈ
I felt SO nauseous most of the time with my liver problem so sympathise with you. Yes you do wonder what effect all these toxic drugs we are on have on our livers. Anyway, I hope you feel better soon and that the steroid injections improves everything.ππ»
Hubby is just back from his colonography (scan) and was straight into eating a big breakfast after the 24 hour fast. π€£ He will get the results next week unless anything sinister is found in which case his GP will phone sooner. Thanks so much for asking Misty.
Iβll be thinking of you Friday. ππ» Keep happy and safe. π€πxx
Aww I love these little owlets and the one on the end is funny, how cute are they! πSorry Helen I missed this one the other day until you reminded me to check my email , for some reason a lot of my emails are going into my junk and important folders rather than my inbox, Iβve no idea why π€¦ββοΈ Glad Iβve seen your cutie pic now, itβs put a smile on my face.
Thanks for your lovely message, I shall reply in the next day or two but just wanted to check these little guys out first π and wish you all the best for both appointments on Friday, Iβll be thinking of you and sending positive vibes for it to all go well and everything crossed for some good pain relief from the injectionπ€. That was a bit of luck getting your appointments one after the other, perfect π.
Take care lovely
Big hugs π€ π¦π¦π¦π¦ π₯°π πΏ πππxxx
Thank you dianne for your lovely message and so glad you liked the owlets. I wanted you to see them. Its so annoying when proper emails go into the wrong box suddenly.Ive just done my bloods ready for tomorrow and starting to feel nernous!. Just hope registrar is nice, always a worry when we don't know them.
Thank you for your lovely wishes. No rush to reply lovely. Have a good weekend and enjoy Strictly. Halfway mark now. Big hug.Xxπβ€πβ€ππβ€πβ€πππ
