Hi all, Hope you are as well as you can be. Well my journey has well and truly began, On Wednesday last week I had my first Oncology appoint, My husband dropped me at entrance and went to park the car, I went in and sat down and POW I suddenly realised that I was a cancer patient, my hair will fall out, I will probably be very poorly for some of the time, up until now I had been under Gyne and although I had the operation to remove all the cancer, they say that I have to have Chemo just incase there are any cells lurking that the human eye cannot see. I was a bit freaked out by it all to be honest and still am about what is going to happen the next 5 months, my last sessions works out to be 23rd December, so that puts pay to going away for xmas but I know that this has to be done and it will give me a much better chance of not getting cancer again but it is now REAL. My pain is not good with all the hospital visits, Addenbrookes is an hour there and back and if anyone knows the hospital it is vast. Anyway my first Chemo is on Friday 9th sept, so wish me good luck and pray I don't get too sick with it. Life is hard enough without this on top. Sorry I don't mean to moan and I am appreciative of everything that is being done to help me, North Norwich, Princess Alexander & Addenbrookes have been fantastic and I am sure they will continue to be so. Hoping to go out with some of my very dearest friends and hubby for brunch later today, its like the last meal and abit of fun before it all starts next week, keep fingers crossed that I make that today and then I will take everything day by day, as we can only do. Hoping everyone's pain is good today and that you all do something that makes you happy. soft hugs Jan x

It is such a daunting thing to face. But you won't be alone. The staff at the chemo units will do their best to make things as easy as possible. It takes a special kind of person to work there.
You have our support the whole way through. We are always here to listen.
My fingers are crossed for you, my thoughts with you. Xx
