Since March I have felt weird and that might be due to my anxiety and depression of issues I dealt with. I work out frequently and in March I got on a treadmill with bad shoes and felt my right leg feel weak/strained after 10 minutes of running. Above the knee, below knew, and calf. I’m still able to run and squat and everything but just feels weird. Did EMG tests and were fine. After I experienced a massive headache above my left eye and felt a bump above my eyebrow. Doctors said it’s nothing to worry about but now my left eye is sensitive to light and a little foggy. After that, I felt the back of my trapezius and neck get tension and it’s still there. I thought I had MS (did MRI of brain and Spine which were negative) or some underlying condition but now I’m worried it could be Parkinson’s. I’m 29 years old and I also have seborrehic dermatitis. Do you guys think I have something to worry about? Does it sound similar to anyone? I have no tremor just the left eye vision issue, right leg weakness, and neck tension.
curious if I should be worried or all in ... - Cure Parkinson's
curious if I should be worried or all in my head due to health anxiety
Welcome to the forum. You are among friends.
Personally, I don't think you have enough evidence to diagnose anything. Maybe just keep checking on the eye every few months if it does not get better. My guess is you will gradually get better and eventually put this situation behind you.
Good luck and may God bless you.
No worries, these are not Parkinson's symptoms.
Whatever you have if anything the best advice is to carry on with exercising, enough but don’t overdo it. Some aerobic, some stretching, some weights.
Change your diet to eleiminate sugar, processed foods, deep fried foods, use olive oil as your oil of choice. Consider eliminating gluten , maybe dairy. Eat as many leafy and colourful vegetables , salads as you can, and eat nuts , seeds. Not too much meat, maybe eat 2 times a week, fish 1-2 times, The rest is vegetarian. Avoid too much coffees, gym formulations, colours , additives, drugs and excessive alcohol obviously.
Try to eliminate unnecessary stress, but not too much as some stress can be good. Try not to focus on health too much and keep the googling symptoms to a minimum. Keep social. Find a purpose to life. Try and smile a lot . Fake it till you make it as forcing your face into an extreme smile and yawning helps your head’s drainage system.
Get enough sleep, go to bed at a reasonable time and get up earlyish. keep off social media and watch your posture so you aren’t tensing your neck and shoulders up with your head leaning forward.
You could get blood tests to check nothing is out of order and address any deficiencies. Take a good multi vitamin but avoid any man made vitamins like folic acid. Choose a natural one instead. Eg methyl folate, methyl cobalamin instead of cyanocobalamin. (B12)
For the seborrehic dermatitis I would definitely be doing a 3 week trial eliminating dairy completely, ie in everything including eg bread etc. then adding it back again and see if it flares. Also try pantethine. (NOW double strength 600mg). If that makes no difference try eliminating gluten the same way. Check all the labels of food you eat. Take some vitamin c, and fish oil. And vitamin d.
Do all that and it should make you healthier and could stop anything nasty developing in the future. But you knew all that already!
It might be premature to worry about Parkinson's but I think an exam by an ophthalmologist would be a good idea because there are some eye issues you would want to rule out and the eye doctor would be able to find out if you have something going on. The reason this is important is because there can be issues with the retina that it is important to address. I do not want to cause you to be alarmed but it is important to have this checked out.
Sounds similar to what my symptoms were after my covid booster.
First two jabs were uneventful the third ( booster ) my world flipped upside down and sideways.
Good luck anyhow !
Also concerned about my vision. Trying clean eating, krill oil, and AREDS2 eye formula.
My hubby's eye dr recommends Areds2.
Thal, try not to worry - anxiety causes issues with our bodies. Years ago I would get weird aches and pains, rashes and such - go to doctor and answer was always stress/anxiety related.
All the above posts have excellent suggestions.
Inhale, slowly exhale. Repeat. 😀
