MRgFUS or Focused Ultrasound is ablative meaning the area targeted is destroyed...can't be undone, unlike DBS. More here: linkedin.com/pulse/ablate-q...
Go for it! I passed all the tests, but turned down because my skull wasn't dense enough. I was so disappointed. I would do it in a heartbeat. Like DBS but non invasive... I believe it's the future of surgery.
It kills cells--I passed the tests but turned it down when she couldn't assure me that everyone thus far that had it was not negatively impacted, like could they walk, etc.
I believe it is very good for tremor. My understanding is it can only be done on one side of the brain, unlike DBS, they are burning the cells, cannot be "undone" like DBS can. I also heard you cannot be claustrophobic, you could be in that MRI tube for 4 hours, not for me!
You are saying it was offered to you dyskenesia or dystonia jaberalhd.? I have never heard it used for that. Its still a very new technique and id love it for tremor but i would need to have complete confidence in the surgeon. Im not sure i would trust whoever offered to 'experiment' on you
It will be done in Rambam hospital as they told me I supposed to l have a call conference via skype with the doctor toady I will know more details and will update , I don't know about ultrasound I just was asking if its good treat Dyskinesia and dystonia ?
Your post on xanthohumol from 3 years ago came up a few times lately. You had DBS surgery since then, does it mean the xanthohumol and other supplements gradually stopped working for you?
Sorry Millbrook, I didn't mean to burst your hopes. Anyway, lets wait and see what Jaber has to say. Maybe he has some more precious info for us concerning xanthohumol.
