I’m in excruciating toothache pain. As I thought about what options I had as someone who doesn’t have any insurance, including dental, I wondered why hospitals have to treat you even without insurance but you have very little to no options in getting dental care. As someone who suffers from clinical depression I stopped caring about myself and can’t bring myself to do simple tasks like showering or brushing my teeth. Now the negligence has caused me to have very bad teeth and I don’t know what I can do about it. It’s like another form of hurting myself without any visible scars

Dental care when having clinical depression and anxiety
Is it possible to get some dental care in an emergency room?
I know what you mean about personal hygiene negligence, I struggle with that sporadically. i just always try to imagine really hard the feeling after taking care of myself, I feel better for sure. But I know it's difficult...
Contact a dental school. Once the tooth is gone it doesn’t hurt. You can live without all your teeth without pain…just with annoyance. That’s why they don’t force them to take you.
Are you in the us? I buy my own insurance too. What dental insurance? Dental insurance is pathetic. The cost of basic is the same as a yearly exam. They do not cover preexisting conditions and I believe you have to sign up in January. Cost wise insurance isn’t going to help. As an individual the best you can do is a negotiated discount.
In the OPs case they need to find a dental school with students in need of practice. Sounds like there is quite a bit of work needed.
I’m also explaining why they don’t deem dental issues serious enough to require care to be given.
