Three hours after a cardioversion and all good so far, cross me fingers tightly, keeping me maintained on sotalol for six weeks to hopefully, give it time to remember the rhythm.

Please don't do anything that requires effort for a few weeks and allow your heart to gain strength beating in it's correct rhythm.

I've had quite a few cardioversions and once went out of rhythm the next day when I walked up a hill.

I'd avoid alcohol for a while too.

Take care.

Thanks for the advice I take on board and not work so hard for the next few weeks give the cells time to remember.

I don't know why but hospitals never tell you these things. Having lots of cardioversions has taught me the hard way. Don't sit slumped if you can avoid it and have nothing tight around your waist. Remember to breathe if on the internet or watching tv. I think we sometimes become so absorbed in what we're doing/watching that we forget.

As usual great advice from Jean. Even if you came out of sinus today it shows other treatments could work.

Good luck.
