My husband has passed.

On Wednesday 17th April Ronnie suffered a brain hemorrhage in the late afternoon at home. He died in hospital in the early hours of Thursday 18th. He had just turned 71. He was diagnosed in January 2020. I believe that Radium 223 precipitated his death. I have written before here on his experiences. It took everything from him and left him bed bound and unable to do anything. The same happened to a friend he made while doing the same treatment. We were together for 47 years. There is a gaping hole in our family but our sons and I are grateful that he is now at peace.God bless everyone on this site and their partners and families.

Yes. I did not want my husband to do it and implored him to stop at treatment 5 as I could see the changes in him. The doctors waved away my concerns. It is known that it can cause severe gastric problems. We discovered this too late. The doctors denied this side effect.

I share in your loss. My husband passed on March 13th, 2024. He was diagnosed in November of 2015 with stage 3 prostate cancer metastatic to bone. Responded well to initial treatment but as time passed, his cancer became resistant even to radium 223. He refused chemo and was referred to palliative care late last year then to hospice care in January of 2024. By then it was end stage cancer. We would have been married 48 years on March 20th and he would have celebrated his 74th birthday on April 11th. My sons and I are fully aware of that gaping hole you mentioned and also grateful he is no longer suffering. God bless you and yours sons. I will be praying for you.

So sorry for your loss , rhenrick and EliasJ. God bless you and your families. My husband passed on April19th 2024 after 53 years together. We also married on March 20th (in 1972) and Nicolas was 74 on April 14th. He was diagnosed in 2018 stage 4 Gleason 9 prostate cancer and had 12 Lu177 treatments (Pluvicto) since 2019, no ADT and no chemo.

He had severe anemia for several weeks and very low platelets and fatigue and weakness. So he was hospitalised on his 74th birthday but had cerebral hemorrhage on April 18th in hospital and died on April 19th at 4 o'clock in the morning.

We are so grateful he never had pain despite his cancer and his bone mets for three years. Our two sons and our daughter will be with me for the funeral on Thursday, April 25th. He was a wonderful husband and a loving father and we miss him so much.
