How do you know if Xtandi has stopped working?
P.S: He is currently on Xtandi, Lupron, Zometa,
Rapaflo
and painkillers.

Severe pain above the anus and left glute. What could be the reason?
The Pelvic MRI results are:
1) Mild L5 compression 2) And all the bone Mets that were present during diagnosis as well We also got a Pelvic Ultrasound that showed Severe Urine Retention, and since then he has been taking
Rapaflo
(Silodosin) and has a little improvement.

TRUP vs. alternatives
Alpha blockers include: alfuzosin (Uroxatral) doxazosin (Cardura) silodosin (
Rapaflo
) tamsulosin (Flomax) terazosin (Hytrin) 5-alpha reductase inhibitors for BPH This type of medication reduces the size of the prostate gland by blocking hormones that spur the growth of your prostate gland.

Update: AR-V7 & peeing problems
When at the RO's office to begin radiation he took him back for an ultrasound and found he had 'bladder diverticulum' and prescribed
Rapaflo
, which has pretty much taken care of the problem. My husband also has his medical marijuana card now and this is helping him as well. I like good news days!

Up and Down, Back and Forth, Conflicting PCa history. Will value all opinions re future treatment. TYIA!
PSAs up (highest 7.65) and down (lowest 5.43), TRUS biopsies done every other year, 12 cores always negative. 2010, missed PSA due to relocation, new job, house hunting, moving and finding a new urologist. 2011, BPH still worsening, gland estimated to be 100+ grams, PSA 7.74, urologist prescribed

Intro for the new HealthUnlocked gay men's group
Incontinent without
Rapaflo
. Pain from stents in the ureter openings to my bladder, due to a tumour there and to the need for good flow after chemo. Retirement early has been stressful. I'm fortunate to have a husband. We've been together since 2004.

PSA and Prostate Cancer.
I have been taken
Rapaflo
and Finasteride for the last two years. My PSA is now 9.4. Now I am having another biopsy. Does PSA really mean anything or it the doctor right in wanting another biopsy? i am not having any problems. One last thing I am a white and 74 years old.
