Movin on up
PSMA scan came back with 4 uptakes in upper spine. No spec like SUV but the writings on the scan. I think we found it. Have my quarterly appt tomorrow but MO is sure its the cancer we are looking for that's causing my increasing PSA. So yay? I am guessing if there's a preferential location for recurrence

Long term side effects from salvage radiation after radical prostatectomy
Hi folks, I'm considering salvage radiation (~34 treatments) after a prostatectomy where the PSA didn't drop below .2. I'd like to get a feel for how common the long term side effects of Salvage radiation (to bladder, bowel, hemorrhoids, etc.) are, by hearing your experiences. Thanks in advance.

Radium 223 before Cabazitaxel?
This was prescribed today to manage bone pain and also because my PSA has not particularly responded to Docetaxel and the bone scan shows further cancer growth. There is some doubt as to whether more chemo will do any good. Has anyone had experience of doing things this way round? I assume I could

back in the frying pan
in January i went in for a bone scan, after finishing the Provenge treatment. my PSA started edging up last July, still below 1, but it was time for a bone scan i guess. there was one new spot - in my neck- the radiologist and my MO agreed it looked more like degenerative disease than a met. didn't hurt

Ultra sensitive PSA results 3 months after RP. Finding was <.02
With ultra sensitive PSA of <.02 three months after RP can I believe that I will be placed on a schedule to be retested at intervals or will the medical oncologist want me to start further treatment when I go to appointment on 3/10/2023? Thanks for your thoughts!

Active Surveillance/2nd Biopsy
Hello everyone, I just received the results from my 2nd prostate bx while on active surveillance. proton radiation
my husband ended the proton radiation in Heidelberg, we just drove there every day. His PSA is from, 071 to 0,5, he has an appointment with the Oncologist on Monday. I must say, it is a little disappointing that it is still 0,5 after 4 weeks of radiation. Everything went well with the treatment, no

Time for Hospice
It's been 6 months since the CAR-T clinical trial at Mass General. At my most recent appointment there, I was told that the FDA shut down P-PSMA-101, and that I was the last patient enrolled. During trial, psa increased from 0.9 to 2.1 In December, I started having double-vision. It started side-by-side

Xtandi after Zytiga
MO refusing to substitute dexa for prednisone with Abiraterone since it's not FDA approved. Convinced (?) him to wait 3 weeks (4/5) for blood test after radiation of only active met to check PSA which was 0.253 on 1/21 and 0.309 on 2/21. Hoping result lets me stay on Aba as long as possible. He wants

NUBEQA (darolutimide) as MONOTHERAPY (no lupron or similar)?
I’ve seen two posts today in a couple of threads stating that they’re currently on NUBEQA, or will soon be as a monotherapy without first line ADT like casodex or Lupron. One gent says after 7 months he’s got testosterone levels of 700 with undetectable PSA and no progression on scans. Another says

Jevtana prescribed until Pluvicto available to him
Just an update: My husband's PSA is over 215 as of two weeks ago and was scheduled for Pluvicto which has now been put on hold until production ramps up again. Spoke to RO last night and he said that they are hoping for production to increase within 3 months. In the meantime, he is recommending Jevtana

Estrogen cream can work to PCa?
My M testosterone's level is average of common man but M testosterone is a just the food to the PCa. I think because of M testosterone, the PSA levels are not decrease but increase. So if we apply the Estrogen cream on the parts of body, the testosterone level may go down? Am awaiting the answer

Experiences with Salvage Radiation, tips and advice
My husband will be undergoing 39 sessions of salvage radiation in a few weeks and I am looking for any tips or advice on what to expect as far as side effects and how to make it more tolerable for him. He had RALP in November and unfortunately PSA did not drop. PMSA scan found 2 small lymph nodes in

Treatment Options Analysis Paralysis
Currently suffering from "analysis paralysis" as I go back and forth between radiation (Cyberknife) and Surgery. I was set to go with Cyberknife at Georgetown which is a high volume center with tons of experience and then my Decipher test came back as High Risk which adds 6 months of Orgovyx to the

PSA Testing methods, Siemens vs Abbott
Just recd latest results and noticed my previous test was done using the Roche Cobas method and all others with Siemens Centaur. Readings were 0.21 (S) 0.06 (R) and 0.19 (S) .... latest. Any possibility that the different methods are the reason for the tripling. Cheers

Zytiga started
Although we are not completely convinced it is needed : PSA went from 2 to 3 immediately after 6 weeks radiation which we expected to happen, MO insists on us adding Zy and prednisone. I am trying to get a second opinion but I did start it about 2 weeks ago. Remain going to the gym 5 days a week as

Very pleased to see my undetectable PSA blood test for the ninth time but also that I had a great consult with my London MO and onco nurse where he said he would support me on a decision to come off ADT if this continues to June 23.. BUT he recommends I stay on to July 24. Hmmm .. to be honest I
