Old but new here.
Hello. I wanted to share my history while new, so people can get to know me and what I have gone through, and hope to learn from others what their stories are, in hopes of finding something new to help me and to share what has helped me as well. My body feels like I am a hundred years old. My spirit

ICS/LABA INHALERS
My wife’s doc’s are talking about changing her to these types of inhaler. At the moment she carries a salbutamol inhaler for flare ups and uses serevent and ciclesonide (Alvesco) inhalers and is on itraconazole for an aspergillus growth in one of her lungs. Anyone on these inhalers and have they found

COPD or Asthma?
I know this question has been covered with respect to individual cases, however, I would like to know, in more general terms, how COPD is distinguished from asthma through symptoms alone. I am still waiting for tests that may lead to a formal diagnosis, and I have been experiencing an increase in breathlessness

high dose ventolin
Hi all!I was just wondering if anyone has come across this previously. I finally went to my asthma nurse and she thinks that my asthma is even less controlled than I suspected I know this is bad and I need to take it when needed but when I'm in need of my ventolin, if I don't get it, the need

result of consultant appointment
I’m so disappointed. I had a tummy bug for three days and despite all that involved and it wasn’t pleasant at all, I didn’t have any SOB or the dreaded panic attacks. Yesterday I was right as rain so made myself a mini roast and did some ironing and took myself upstairs to bed for the first time in

Wife has check with Asthma nurse on Tuesday
Hello, My wife hasn’t had this check since we moved here 5 years ago when the nurse said due to her having Bronxhectasis and an aspergillus growth in one lung that my wife probably knew more about her treatment than she did and they wouldn’t bother with another appointment. At our previous address

Is it really asthma...?
Hi guys, on here just to try and get a bit of advice. I've coped well with Sjoergren's Syndrome since around 2002. Around 8 years ago I started to have pretty bad problems with my lungs, which the Rheumatology clinic casually diagnosed (without any tests, or even eye contact) as Adult Onset Bronchial

struggling with coughing and daily mucous
I was diagnosed in 2015 with asthma and bronchiectasis after being diagnosed the previous year with Rhuematoid Arthritis. The first few years I coped ok and had a positive attitude but since 2019 I have been really struggling to accept that this is my life now. I cough up copious amounts of mucous everyday

Fostair.
has anyone on Fostair found that they have a sore tongue all the time despite washing my mouth out after. I’ve had this a long time now. With lockdown and everything I didn’t like to bother the Drs with a petty sore tongue. I spoke to the Dentist and I spoke to the Chemist and they both said to speak

Could this be asthma? PFT results
23F, 123lbs, 10 years daily smoking marijuana. For 3 years I've had chronic daily phlegm - like hocking up a loogie. I started getting chest pains and some shortness of breath after quitting smoking 2 months ago. I have been on Flovent inhaler for 2 months but nothing before this. My PFT seems indicative

Asthma/ILO (also known as Vocal Chord Dysfunction) and Post Covid Breathing
Hi, I was diagnosed with asthma when I was 15, so over 23 years ago. I have always had an atypical presentation with more of a cough than a wheeze. My asthma has started to get worse over the past three or four years, with massive exacerbations since I had Covid in January. I have had three hospital

I have a question about the Incruse Ellipta inhaler. It was written for me for the treatment of asthma, I read the leaflet and it says it is intended for the treatment of COPD. It worried me because I have asthma and not COPD. Have any of you been prescribed this asthma inhaler? Thanks for all the

keeping inhalers at the correct temperature
Please can you tell me how you keep your inhalers at the correct temperature. The inhalers I am on are fostair, salbutamol and titropium. None of them should be stored above 25 degrees but can't seem to get the temperature down in the house yet after the very hot weather. How do you all manage

Nebulising Salbutamol
I have “very severe COPD”. I use Trimbow, which does help, Carbosistene and an Aerobika device. However, I use far too much Salbutamol (currently 3 inhalers per month) and have developed a pretty severe tremor in my left hand. I can really struggle with clearing my chest, even though I keep well hydrated
