My 7 year old son is currently taking Adderral. He has been on it for 6 months. We have tweaked his dosage about 5 times. His last dosage change worked the longest. It was great for 6 weeks. But he has started back talking and being grumpy and irritable. 2 bad outbursts within the past week. He is at

My sons experience with Adderral
My 7 yr old son was officially diagnosed with adhd about 7 months ago. He started on 5 mg of adderall that did well for about a week. We have increased his dosage many times and added an afternoon dose. Every time we have made the dosage change the results have been great however every change in dosage

If I can’t do my job without meds, should I find another job?
I have been dealing recently with the adderall shortage again and my work has been seriously suffering. It has been two months since I have been able to get a refill on my medication, and I am so overwhelmed at work and stuck in a constant state of task paralysis and procrastination. I feel constantly

Hello Everyone
Hello, I'm Lauryn, and I recently joined this online forum. I am a mother and a woman in long-term recovery. I have been dealing with various mental health challenges, including ADHD. About a year ago, I enrolled in college, so I started taking medication for ADHD, which has been incredibly helpful.

Help Please!
My grand baby is 7 years old on Adderall 20 mg. She is not focus in class and I would like to know if there is a program or suggestions how to get her test ready? Something to help with the constant dialogue and not up to par with her grades. Any suggestion is appreciated. Regards,

Feeling helpless & hopeless
I dunno what to do anymore. I just turned 39, I was diagnosed around 18 months ago. Tried non-stimulant medication, didn't work, and made my ADHD and the associated depression worse, despite it being an anti-depressant treatment (Strattera/Atomoxatine). Went to adderall, seems to have a minimal effect

Tics?
hello All! Our son who is 9.5, with ADHD and dyslexia, has had different tics on and off. I never would have called them tics but recently they seem more severe at times and he attempted to explain them to me tonight: Through tears, he said his body just wants to keep doing certain things. And sometimes

ADHD symptoms returned after TBI
I got a concussion (TBI) while snowboarding on January 2. It has taken me two months to (almost) fully recover. The immediate symptoms mirrored a lot of my ADHD problems like brain fog, distraction, and the inability to focus on a task for more than 20 minutes. Even the hyper focus. My meds didn’t

Always Fired: idk what to do
hi all, I’m 34 years old and female. I’ve gotten consecutively fired 4 times and laid off the time before that. So basically I’ve been let go 5x in a row and anything I haven’t been let go from, I most likely left because I was going to be let go and yes I’ve been let go from OTHER jobs as well. It’s

First dose Strattera, blah, tired
Today was the first dose. No motivation, just tired. Is this normal? Feels like it is undermining skills I am trying to build. Adderall made me a wound up nutcase with huge anxiety. It started great, lots of energy to do the things I needed to. Then therapy made me focus on the things that made me

My ADHD Life in a Nutshell
Hello, I am 59 years old and was diagnosed with ADHD, inattentive type, in 2020 after years and years of frustration, self-doubt, and tanking self-confidence. I also have several other mental health and educational diagnoses: co-dependency, major episodic depression, reading disorder, short-term memory

ADHD and pain medication
I am on Adderall but need a pain medication from my chronic pain that doesn't interact with Adderall or my narcolepsy. In other words, I don't want a pain medicine that is too sedating.

Therapy tomorrow, but I feel like talking today
I've been in a state of anxiety for the past two weeks or so. I have an appointment with a therapist tomorrow, but I feel like talking today. I’ve been on Effexor XR for almost 20 years and was in the process of tapering off, but due to these anxiety issues those plans are on hold. I’m not looking

Focalin comedown
My son (11) has been on Focalin XR for about 2 months (5mg the first month - no effect, and now 10mg). We've noticed that around 7pm, he often can get super down and sad. It's not every night, but it's at least a couple times a week. Sometimes he can identify something bothering him, but other times

zoloft??
Hi! Does anyone have a child taking Zoloft? My almost 12 yo son takes Focalin xr plus 100 mg of Zoloft for anger/anxiety/emotional outbursts. (He takes a very small does of Guanfacine at night but I don’t know that it does much) Lately his attitude is very crabby/cranky/angry. I know hormones can affect

The brick wall
59, last diagnosis ADHD here. One thing I'm struggling with is the motivational brick wall that seems to come out of nowhere. My day or week may be going well. Getting things done. Feeling capable. And then out of nowhere this wall appears in my brain that prevents me from doing anything. No warnings
