When to start xtandi after docetaxel?
Hello, wars. Father just finished 6 rounds of docetaxel, 9 Glisson, diagnosed in may 2020. Mets in the bones and spine. The original PSA was 135, now 0.7. Gets Lupron and Zometa. Should he start taking Xtandi now, or wait for the PSA to start rising? Opinions of different oncologists were divided. Thanks

For 2 years my MBC has been isolated to lymph nodes in my right groin and a successfully radiated iliac tumor. Since May there has been some activity "smoldering" in the area and they're now seeing activity in my right hip socket, as well as in the pubic bone and 2 lymphs in my left groin. I started

My PSA (2.5 years post successfully completed chemo) is now on the rise. Still a modest movement from undetectable to 0.2 to 0.3 to 0.4 to now 0.5 (each separated by 6 weeks). But obviously it’s time for treatment given my high grade and high tumor load when I was first diagnosed. I currently remain

New here and Zometa ?
Hi! I'm 48 and was recently diagnosed with Stage IV MBC in March (amidst all this lovely Covid craziness). I'm currently on 100mg of Ibrance and 2.5 mg of Letrizole, and had ovaries removed in July to throw me into menopause which has been lovely. My Onc wants me to start Zometa infusions but I keep

Increase in bone met pain at toward end of Ibrance cycle?
Completing my first cycle of Ibrance 75mg. Had 100mg last cycle. Had terrible pain over the last 2 days in areas of met lesions while on day 19 and 20. Next onco appt is next week. Also on letrozole and Zometa IV. Does not feel like letrozole pain in joint, but deep bone pain which got worse later

Clinical trials coming soon!
I went through a enormous amount of tests yesterday, My PSA has risen from 4.3 to 17.9 and new bone Mets have appeared , multiple new ones were visable on the ribs and eliac, I believe I am experiencing pain as a result. I am concerned this harpoon trial will not be effective, and further delay a treatment

Slammed by Zometa Infusion
I've had quite a few infusions of Zometa over about 2 years, but I had an extreme reaction to this one. It has really slammed me. I have had a consistent fever since the day after infusion and feel completely drained. Been in bed most of today. It reminds of chemo although less intense. I went in and

Hello everyone, I’ve been regularly visiting this board for about 18 months and received some wonderful responses when I first posted. I wasn’t in the best place back then trying to cope with my MBC de novo diagnosis so I want to apologise to those lovely ladies who I never responded to. I felt bad about

Good news on tumor markers
Hi Everyone! Always enjoy reading your posts, and I could not think of a better spot to share this good news. My onc/nurse practitioner continue to send out for 27/29 tests on my blood every few months. I don't know their schedule, they just do it. Since 27/29 seems to be a good indicator for me,

Prolia vs. Zometa?
