Evening all 🤗 I have my first thyroid blood test results since starting levothyroxine. Started 25mcgs on 16 June and then increased to 50mcgs on 13 July. I had thought that I was not getting on with the Accord brand 50mcgs (25mcgs TEVA previously) but I had to persevere because GP and Pharmacist wouldn

Latest bloods and increasing Levothyroxine
Please have a look at my latest blood test results. Diagnosed with autoimmune thyroid disease. Currently taking 50mcg.Not currently taking any other vitamins, but happy that I've managed to increase my ferritin from 20 to 51 since my last results. Any tips on whether I should be taking anything else

Update
I had a call from surgery re blood test to say I should pick up a script for 50mcg Levothyroxine which is double the daily dose I have been on. Another blood test in 6 weeks. My problem is I have been fine on 25mcg lots of energy as long as I get my B12 I wonder at GP changing meds without any consultation

Untreated hypothyroid and early pregnancy
I hope someone of here can offer some advice, or at least reassure me I’m not being a crazy/hysterical woman! I had blood tests at the start of July to try and diagnose the reason why my periods had disappeared for 7months. The Thyroid tests came back as: TSH 5.23mlU/L (0.270-4.2), FT4 11.9pmol/L (12

is T3 working?
hi everyone. It’s been a while since I posted. After some great advice on here I managed to get T3 privately which I’ve been taking for 8weeks. I don’t feel much different in all honesty. I have a review with my doctor tomorrow to discuss how I’m doing and to look at my bloods. They will want to reduce

should 80 year old man be treated for hypothyroid?
Does any male 80 years plus have experience of being given levothyroxine? NHS GP results were TSH 4.78 and FT4 11.7. Is it worth taking drugs. I understand that some research in USA suggest that 4.78 in elderly is ok. I am enquiring on behalf of my husband.....many thanks

Advice on vitamin results please
I did a Thriva (good system) test recently for B12, D, Ferritin and Folate. Unfortunately folate not available as blood cells burst but the following are my results. I'm not familiar with how Thriva lay to their results table but they all looked good except possibly B12? B12 Active 71.2pmol D 205

Headaches
Hi Very recently diagnosed with autoimmune hypothyroidism and started on 50mcg levothyroxine 5 days ago. I have a vast array of symptoms and understand that getting to a therapeutic dose is going to take time. My question is, how long did it take you to get a significant reduction of frequency

changing meds without discussion
Hi. I have just had a blood test for what I thought was a follow up appointment with Endo. I phoned his secretary after the test only to be told that I wouldn’t get an appointment (too busy!) but that he would write to me and my GP. I had a Medichecks blood test a few weeks ago (results posted on here

Please help with advice on Levo dose and vitamin levels.
Hello.I was started on Levo at 75mg about 10 days ago. My doctor wants to do a blood test after 8 weeks. Last time I was given a 2 month trial and because my TSH came down ( they don't care about antibodies so those weren't checked ! ) they took me off the Levo. Now I've gone to a different, much more

Have taken 2.5 grains NDT for many years. Recently started suffering from burning feet pads and tongue swelling late evening. Timing of taking T3 - by day
Am writing this out while under the grip of a blazing migraine but as am not fit for doing much else, thought I’d come here to write a note for anyone here taking T3. I have been taking it for a year or so and without thinking about why, always took it at the same time as my levothyroxine - before

Hi, Could really do with some advice at the moment. I’m taking 100mcg Levo and 6mcgs Lio. I’ve been ok. Not 100% but then I’m considerably better than 2 yrs ago when I started treatment. I dropped my Levo down to 100 ( from 125) 3 weeks ago so I cant give you latest bloods yet as I’m waiting a little

I'm so frustrated with my GP!
As per the title really! I'm incredibly frustrated, and frankly angry, with the standard of care - or rather the lack thereof - that I've received from my local surgery. I initially went to the doctor 18 months or so ago complaining of feeling constantly exhausted, gaining weight, and struggling to
