London endocrinologists (private or not) who prescribe T3
I've been taking NDT for a few years but recently my symptoms are returning, and other forums seem to suggest that NDT like Armour and Thyroid S are losing their effectiveness. So I'm thinking of going privately to see if I can get T3 prescribed alongside levothyroxine. Is there a list of endocrinologists

Enzaludimide or Abiraterone
I am on ADT plus abi for the last 4.5 years. Getting to where I should start thinking about when it stops working. I have been looking into BAT. Seems that works better with Enza as opposed to Abi. I am going to discuss with my MO but do you think I should change now as opposed to too late?

Doctor makes it seem like I want to have surgery and not like I actually need it
After struggling with severe constant daily pain for a year and a half, a gynaecologist has decided to put me on a waiting list for surgery. I didn't go see him requesting to be put on a list, but he thought it'd be a good idea because hormonal treatment hasn't worked, and painkillers don't help. However

Why we add an AART drug to ADT?
In response to a post asking if adding enzalutamide to ADT is beneficial: Xtandi would increase T levels if not simultaneously using an LHRH ADT. It blocks AR in hypothalamus leading to perception of deficit and increased LH and testicular testosterone. So enzalutamide or apalutamide used without ADT

reminder pre testing please
so sorry I’ve searched and can’t find the recommendation for when to take last dose of NDT before blood tests. My test is at 09:20 … I usually take one at bedtime and one when I wake… shall I just miss the one when I wake? I’ve looked at pinned posts but can’t find the info… thanks so much

Post RT decisions on ADT and relative risk benefit
apologies for long ramble again … Next month I discuss how long to stay on HT (zoladex) after RT last December. I can feel like dealing with some multi headed hydra trying to balance risks/benefits especially as I have G9 (albeit maybe locally contained) and my personal comorbidities. As I reflect

Mucin and Hypo symptoms
Recently, I stumbled upon information about mucin and hypothyroidism. This is another lightbulb moment for me while struggling with hypo symptoms. I tried (and failed) the pinch test and my legs and upper arms have the most visual signs of mucin. I have read posts where individuals that were on T3 found

Testing on NDT or T3 or Combo
There have recently been posts by people querying whether testing by endos after having food and medication is right or not. Obviously they are testing to see what the peak levels in our blood are at that given point of day but as some have rightly said, we won't be having that level constantly in our

Erfa 30mg starting questions (NDT)
Hello, I just started taking erfa 30mg for very low T3: -2.8 I tried previously T3 on its own, but I'm not sure if I was doing it correctly. Calling all BAT-men ...
(... that's you, Russ!) I am about to begin BAT with a new MO (who works in MA and NH), and am looking for some input from forum members. My MO has an existing contact at Johns Hopkins that he's consulted, but is not (yet) in direct contact with anyone from Denmeade's group so far as I know. A little

PSA Climbing
my husband’s psa has been climbing for 6 months. He recently left the urologist he was going to and is now going to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY. They ordered an mri, PSMA pet and biopsy. Nothing shows but his psa keeps rising. They ordered another PSMA pet for 2/16. Advice

Second Opinion?

NDT source
hi all, I have emailed admin for a list of endocrinologists who might prescribe NDT in the UK. And NDT suppliers. I used to live in Bangkok where Pharma used to produce Thiroyd. It was approx £10 for 1000 tablets. I moved back to the UK and ran out of NDT. The pandemic hit and Pharma stopped manufacturing
