Synbicort / spiriva: insomnia and tachycardia
To get rid of the stupidly high dose of seretide I was one, the respo nurses moved me over onto seretide (2x 2 puffs, an and pm) plus
spiriva
respinat (2 puffs, am), plus retaining my montelukast.

Do you ever go back to “normal”?
The Montelukast has worked 🙂 but that dose of steroids never seemed to put me completely right, and by start of December the GP prescribed another 5 day dose and changed my inhaler to
Spiriva
(2puffs a day) and Salbutamol as a reliever.

Steroid dependent- 30 mg for 6 mo. When we lower, asthma symptoms return, missing work today
I also take all the high dose inhalers- dulera,
spiriva
respimat, montelukast and a biologic- Dupixent. Now I’m 3 days after the 25 mg and woke at 3 am with severe asthma cough- took albuterol and about an hour to be able to lay back down and sleep again. Worn out and don’t feel well today.

Bad exacerbation - when to return to work?
Thanks to a full asthma review (possibly the first "proper" one I've ever had) in hospital, I'm now home with symbicort, pred, and then
spiriva
when pred runs out.

Continuing flare of cough predominant asthma - amytryptiline
Currently on fostair,
spiriva
respimat, pred, carbocisteine, montelukast, uniphyllin, nebs, codeine for the pulled muscles and to supress cough. I also drink warm honey and lemon or chamomile tea literally all day, suck on packets of soothers in an attempt to calm it.

Broken rib from coughing.
The meds he uses at this moment are, Fostair,
Spiriva
, has a rescue Ventolin inhaler, takes carbocysteine or NAC. He has a nebuliser (and a portable one) with ventolin nebules, which he uses about 4 times a day at this moment.

Sensitive teeth, Tiotropium?
I started using Tiotropium/
Spiriva
about 6 months ago and I'm now wondering if it's a side effect of that?

Spiriva and blurred vision
Hi everyone I'm giving
Spiriva
another go out of sheer desperation of using high courses of Pred for the last 6 months, been on it 2 days and although I think it's helping I keep getting blurred vision in one eye.

Inhalers: what to take and when!
https://healthunlocked.com/asthmauk/posts/143760377 In the future I’ll probably do a page covering the common add on therapies (montelukast,
spiriva
, intal, theophylline etc etc) but that’s for another day and another post - this post is long enough!

Feeling confused, brain overload, advice/thoughts please so can process this info.
From today I've to stop
spiriva
and reduce prednisolone to 10mg for 1 wk, then to 5mg for 1 wk then have cortisol bloods and and allergy tests as allergies could also be driving this. Also he said my asthma could be ok because I've been on steroids for a year...

Shielding - should I really be?
I have never felt I really am CEV though technically I hit the criteria (symbicort and
spiriva
). Most of the time I get by on a half dose of
spiriva
though.

Back pain?
Hoping to speak to nurse this week about maybe adding in
Spiriva
. But I’ve noticed I’m getting really bad low back pain during the periods when I’m knocked down, as in standing for any length of time and walking not very far is agony. Does anyone else get this?

Asthmatic and Recurrent Bronchitis
I'm now on Fostair 100/6 (2 puffs morning and night) and
spiriva
respimat (2 puffs morning) along with carbocistein. Early on this year I had several chest infections where I was continually coughing up green and bloody phlegm.
