The Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery
Hi all I am on a waiting list for spinal surgery at the Walton Centre in Liverpool and was wondering if anyone has had surgery/treatment there? This is a revision procedure but I had my first operation at a different hospital, therefore would be grateful if anyone would be willing to share their experience

home oxygen hose tangle
When I was first put on home oxygen three years ago, it was terrible. Everyone kept tripping over it and pulling my ears when they did. I swore I wasn’t going to have ears left. My husband is not the easiest going person and he complained constantly. I didn’t know what to do. My husband put the

Osteopathic treatment
I had a
spinal
fusion
6 years ago, successful at first, then 18 months later symptoms increased again. I've had all the usual Nhs treatment including caudal epidurals. I'm currently trying to reduce my meds which is great because the side effects have been awful.

Upcoming surgery
I have a compression fracture of the L5 vertebrae in my lower back...along with severe
spinal
stenosis. So the Dr needs to do a decompression and
fusion
of the L3, L4, L5 & S1 levels. I am looking at a 3 month recovery period, at least. He is aware of my past history with APS.

Compression Fracture of L1 vertebrae and chronic back pain
I've done everything but a
spinal
fusion
which I've had 4 opinions from different surgeons saying they advise against it as I may end up worse. I have done everything from Rehab, hydro pool, Physio, injections, ketamine infusions, 4 spinal cord stimulator trials - the list goes on.

Boron for micrographia and any other Parkinson's symptoms
Later this week I will start taking boron and watching for improvement. I will update by Post the outcome of this test. "The compound also functions to improve a variety of cognitive skills including visual perception, concentration, short term memory, coordination, fine motor skills and logic."

Tinnitus. Other pain. Help please
Hi I had spinal surgery 6 months ago due to sudden leg weakness. Mri showed large disc bulge and bone spurs at T12-L1. Also had bad stenosis at L2 L3. So I underwent a decompression surgery. T12-L1 laminectomy disectomy with interbody fusion and instrumentation and a L2-L3 hemi laminectomy left side

Agonising Upper Back Pain
I have had a
Spinal
Fusion
in the past, so of course I am worried about this. I think I need an xray, but my GP is really digging his heels in. He has also refused to send me for a Dexa Scan. What are your opinions please.

New Meds for Nerve Pain?
I am looking into having
spinal
fusion
soon but until then I am trying everything to get my pain under control till then. I have had an epidural and seen both a PT and chiropractor so I have taken every step possible to ease my pain. So as of now I am left to get the med route.

Spinal cord stimulator trial update
Hi Folks, Thought I'd update as its been a roller coaster of emotion over the last week or so. When I got to hospital I was told I was having a tunnelled trial, where the leads for permanent implant are tunnelled in the opposite side of the lower back to where the permanent implant would be sited (

I just had to post this, unbelievable!!
DMSO, or dimethyl sulfoxide, seems to be a total miracle substance, but of course no money in it for big pharma. I am just looking on the net for more info. I am interested, after reading a post from another member, about using DMSO as a carrier for L'carnitine tartrate, to stimulate hair growth.

Spinal Cord Stimulator update
Well, this thing that has been on the horizon for such a long time now is right in front of my nose! I'll be going into St Thomas' Thursday afternoon to have the trial stimulator fitted on Friday. It's a two week trial of a Nevro high frequency, which means there will be no buzzing or tingling - which
