T4 to T3 conversion.
Hi all, I recently had a blood test done and I have a feeling my t4/T3 conversion rate isn't good. I took the test early in the morning,. no food or drink from the night before. I regularly self inject B12 as I have pernicious anaemia. I supplement with D3, magnesium and omega 3 oil. For the past couple

Thank you for the vitamins advice
Hi everyone I thought I’d post today to say thank you for all of the wonderful advice you provided in the last few years. I have been feeling well for almost a year now but I stupidly took my eye off the ball a couple of weeks ago. I ran out of B12 and forgot to buy more. All of my symptoms have

Vitamins
Hi all, I used to take a multivitamin tablet daily, until my heart stent age 44 two years ago. My Cardiologist asked me to stop taking them as there were certain vitamins that became not good to take e.g. ones on there linked to clotting. I want to start taking vitamins again. My diet is as good

Magnesium
Could anyone recommend a magnesium supplement which won’t exacerbate my gastritis. I have stomach issues and finding something suitable is proving very difficult indeed. Thank you.

New treatment
I've come off Pram (by slicing my last pill in half) and am now on Gabapentin 300, after a useful discussion with my GP two days ago, and I've had a blood sample taken to find my ferritin level. Plus I've started taking Magnesium at 375 as an experiment to see if it can affect RLS. I'll report back

Am I going mad?
Hi! I've had so much helpful information from this forum and made copious notes over the last few weeks, I was determined I could get by without asking for help, but no. I'm so upset, after what I've decided is my last visit to the GP as I'm fed up of being fobbed off and coming out like a gibbering

Magnesium butter
Decided to try Sweet Bee magnesium butter as supposed to help sleep and RLS. Rub it on soles of feet, legs plus forehead( my idea!). First night woke with RLS...since then really helped and no RLS during the night. Not cheap...£31 inc postage but only use small amount. May be worth a try?? I'm not on

Ferritin low.... what's happening here?
Hi everyone, Had my annual Medichecks blood test which came back with a surprising result. My ferritin level has decreased from last year. I followed all the invaluable blood test protocol advice from this site and since my results last year have been taking Thorne Basic B, D3, K2-Mk7, magnesium

Heavy legs and breathlessness
My legs feel heavy and stiffen up very quickly if I walk on any hard surface like pavements or even supermarket floors for more than a few minutes. It's particularly bad going up any incline, however slight. I literally feel as if I am having to drag my legs and the effort makes me really breathless.

Help interpreting Blue Horizon results, please...
Hi all, These are my first home testing results done through Blue Horizon with finger prick(s)...3 in all, as I struggled getting the blood...until the last one 🙄...even when following the instructions to the letter, along with the protocol advised on here and I'm an ex-nurse! 🤦🏽♀️ Also, as

AF Medications
I have had AF for a few months now, I have also attended A & E four times recently with palpations and chest pains. Each time they have given me either, sometimes both, potassium or magnesium intravenously. I have also had a kidney transplant (4 years ago). They cannot give me any more medication

Hashimoto's and insomnia
Anyone else struggles with insomnia especially whilst in a flare-up? My doctor has said that insomnia isn't a typical symptom of Hashimoto's hypothyroidism and will only prescribe drowsy antihistamines to help me sleep. Does anyone have any tips or supplements to help with this? I've tried sleep hygiene

No meds….yet
Hi New to this forum and RLS. Insomnia is crippling me and affecting everything from weight gain to cognitive abilities. I am desperately seeking sleep. GP has prescribed Quinine but little affect. Also on iron tablets, B12, Vit D, Magnesium. Next stop Ropinole. I’m scared to take this as there appears

Time to come off Ropinerole 4 years after being on Pramepexole 7 years. What else can I try????
I've been on these and both caused augmentation and with both was increased to maximum dose yet still had restless legs causing sleepless nights, anxiety and depression. Before I went onto medication I found out I was severely anaemic, I don't know how it happened to me as I was previously fit and healthy

Please help with what to do next?
Am SO upset that after 4 months on 10mg oxycontin long release & 1,500 gabapentin I really thought my rls had gone. But am now going crazy again in the night and am SO TIRED. Should I first go back to taking magnesium again? And if so how much? Or should I ask my GP for blood test in case my ferritin
