strange sleep symptom
It tends to happen when stressed and I can feel it coming on - I just get that I can’t keep my eyes open (definately not fainting or
seizure
etc) and I have to succumb. It can last 10 minutes to an hour but it feels like a deep sleep.

Has a Dr or hospital failed you.
So last year I had an epilepsy attack so how mine work after the
seizure
you would think I'm crazy because I become a crazy person and I will answer weird things that doesn't correspond with the question being asked.

I want to come off but ots more dangerous for me not to sleep as it lowers my
seizure
thresehold so really could do with some advise. Going to try and taper down but I think underneath the zop is a depressed, tired and person with panic attacks and trauma that effects me.

Existing, not living
Well, 2002 I had an accident in work where 2 pallets of radiators were pushed off the back of a lorry but landed on me, I suffered a bleed on the brain, few other cuts and bruises, the following month I suffered with a
seizure
on my way to work, and was diagnosed with epilepsy, I put a litigation claim

History of Epileptic Seizure
In 2016 an episode of very short duration of
seizure
took place. No antiepileptic given ,but after a hernia and gall bladder surgeryin 2019 I was given Levetiracetam and Clobazam for 3 months. Reason not known. No further episodes.

Fed up
I had 4 burr holes with evacuation and was lucky that I can walk and talk and tried to feel better but then had a
seizure
and diagnosed with epilepsy. I live with my husband and we only have a few elderly relatives who couldn't do anything for us and unfortunately unable to have children.

burnt hand
hi Rachel, I was unfortunate enough to suffer third degree burns whilst having a
seizure
. I was aware of the
seizure
arriving and my departing thought was about stopping the sausages from burning but I didn’t get far enough into the thought to turn the grill off.

Progress Update
I asked if I would be able to come off the anti-
seizure
drugs. Apparently, I need to be 2 years
seizure
free before he would consider this. Anyone else able to come off anti-
seizure
meds after HSV? He concluded I was on track but may benefit from anti-depressants which I am reluctant to take.

FND seizures
There is no doubt light changes, flicker, emergency lights, traffic lights, candles all trigger a
seizure
the neuro said this wasn’t the case. I want to ask for a second opinion, been sending in daily diaries and emails to the Secretary which is passed on.

My Functional Neurological disorder
This one day my parents found me in the bathroom have a “
seizure
” . They look in EKGS and took so many blood tests. They found nothing. It’s been 3 years now and I finally got an answer. I have FND! I’ve been looking at a Functional dog, to help me.

Tremors/Jerking. Awake but Non-Responsive
She suffered a big
seizure
3 weeks ago that only lasted a few minutes. Was a bit unresponsive for the next two days and then she started coming back and looked good. She does have a trache and on ventilator so there is no verbal communication. Has been on
seizure
medication since.

Anti Seizure Medicine after brain meningioma surgery
Hi Everybody, What anti
seizure
medicine has everyone had luck with not having any side effects? I’m on Levetiracetam 500mg twice a day and am having heartburn, digestional issues, and trouble swallowing. I’m allergic to PPI’s and Pepcid.

Fell off the wagon and I’m terrified!
Finally, I recently ended up in the hospital due to a very strange fall that resembled a
seizure
. They tested my blood and scanned my brain. They decided it wasn’t a
seizure
. On my blood test, my liver enzymes were back up (high but not nearly as high as before) and I was devastated!

I have had another seizure, after 4 years in the process of possibly changing meds due to photosensitivity.
I am nervous of the
seizure
happening again before my neurology appointment sometime in Dec.

DVLA Driving License after TBI
Why after driving for 3 years (
seizure
free), would they issue me a license with less than 6 months on it? Anyone else experienced this or have any ideas on why DVLA have done this? Thank you 🙏
