One of the inhalers I use for my COPD is Salbutamol. The last 3 that I have used sometimes does not give the spray when I suck in.Does anyone else have this problem? I now take the top off and press the canister to make sure it is working.Sometimes I have to this a few times before it gives out the full

I know this is common side effect of
salbutamol
but I am finding them a little difficult to cope with as time goes on and it’s not calming down. I mean it’s nice not sounding like a broken boiler quite as much as I did before but but it’s getting a little much.

Frustrated with new gp’s
I had my asthma review in November where by they informed me I was taking too much
salbutamol
. (Approx 1 inhaler per 4 weeks, sometimes less sometimes a little more) this is normal for my asthma and depending on the seasons and sickness. Apparently they expect me to use less of my Inhaler.

I need to find a way forward after damaging my lungs
Two years ago I started to feel really breathless and am now on
salbutamol
, Spivra and Serotide. I was hospitalised three times in six months. I then had a nasty fall and fractured my hip and pelvis. It transpired I have brittle bone disease.

Having to go back to work with oxygen
After being given a
salbutamol
inhaler for 3 years for asthma, I was admitted to hospital in September with oxygen 85, and again 2 months later in November this year with the same reading. I’m now on oxygen 24/7. 1 litre at rest and 3 litre on movement, walking, stairs etc.

Frustrated
It comes on very quickly, I've checked my blood oxygen and is around 95%, don't know what's going on , I'm taking 10 mg prednisone daily plus
salbutamol
inhaler as needed, which is quite often and Inspiolto Respimat 2 puffs I'm morning. Was wondering if anyone else is having similar problems.

Montelukast - good or bad?
I’ve had asthma for most of my 58 years, but in the past 12 months things have deteriorated quite substantially, with 8 or 9 ambulances, multiple chest infections, gallons of
salbutamol
and several bucketfuls of prednisolone, and a gentle radioactive glow courtesy of multiple chest X-rays.

Using a lot of salbutamol during asthma attacks
Hi I was just wondering how much
salbutamol
you use to recover from an asthma attack. My daughter is just 7 years, she never coped well with using 2 puffs every 2 minutes, or 1 puff every minute. She now has 1 puff every 10 seconds for upto around 20-25 puffs.

Confused and annoyed
I had no symptoms for a very long time, then 6 months ago following a bad time with hayfever I was put back onto
Salbutamol
inhaler and then onto a steriod inhaler (flutiform). I have increased my steriod inhaler over the last few months and am on the maximum dose of it.

Fast heartbeat
My daughter was playing with her albuterol inhaler and took 3 puffs. She's supposed to be taking two Puffs every 6 hours as needed. Now she has a fast heartbeat. Will it decrease on its own? What can I do to calm her down?

How long for short burst prednisone to be fully effective?
There was some effect within 24 hours -
salbutamol
gives me relief for a couple of hours, whereas before I felt symptomatic continuously but it was keeping up my PEF/oxygen levels (and my heart rate) for about an hour at a time, though I'd needed 4 puffs in the hour before I saw my GP.

Is this usual?
It does go after l have used my
salbutamol
inhaler. I am not asthmatic and read that bronchospasms are accompanied by sob, so maybe not one of those. This is the only symptom l really have at the moment. I would be really gratefull for any advice on this.

Blue Inhaler (salbutamol)
You can only have 8 puffs of
salbutamol
in 24 hour period. This is not true as I did explain but it just shows how we are all told very different information from our professionals.

Problems after Phomonia and Pleurisy
I tend to self medicate and take
Salbutamol
on an hourly basis due to the cost of doctors and i don't want to be given antibiotic all the time. I find this all frustrating and have never really been told why I have this on going problem only that ther could be scar tissue.
