PSA suppression
My PSA lows tend to be around 3.3, and it occurs to me that some might think it odd that I don't drive it lower. I think it is very common for men on ADT to draw too much comfort from a significant PSA reduction, if not a near-zero PSA. I have witnessed men misinterpret a dramatic drop in PSA as

Medichecks review for undiagnosed Dad
Hi, I posted a few days ago about my Dads medichecks results in 2021. https://healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk/posts/150357677/‘normal’-results-but-feeling-terrible?responses=150379565 Below is a screenshot of his new results. What would be your next steps be (apart from Vit D supplement!).

Need advice on what to do next!
Recently diagnosed with Hashimotos following endocrinologist appt, which was actually to investigate causes for my hair loss (lost 60% of hair after covid vaccination, then Covid itself in early 2022). Also been suffering other symptoms for around 2 years - weight gain, tired all the time, joint pains

Too heavy, feeling depressed.
Hi & happy, healthy new year 🎉 Prev spoke with Slow Dragon 💝 was so grateful for the good advice back then. My Levothyroxine dose increased to 200 i had hoped it would help me loose some weight. No such luck and after recent blood test, I was told to reduce dose to 175. I feel fine, tbh no different

The eternal supplement conundrum!
Hi all, hope all doing well and all optimistic going into 2024 - and/or grateful for what we’re leaving behind. I’m reviewing our supplements going into ‘24 as a friend of a similar age is on so many I think she must rattle! She is on her IVF journey ahead of me so getting all the advice she can -

Possible over treatment with Levothyroxine
Hi everyone, I’m new to the site. It was suggested that I make a post following a comment I made replying to another post as I may benefit from some guidance on my current treatment. I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid 9 years ago. I have been treated with Levothyroxine throughout. Since 2020

First DEXA shows osteopenia - hoping for some advice please
Hello everyone, this is my first post to Bone Health, but I have posted to other Healthunlocked forums recently as I’m trying to work through my various health issues. I’m in the UK and hoping to get some advice from those more experienced than me please. I paid privately for my first DEXA scan in April

low lymphocytes in blood. High white cells in urine. Should I be worried?
Recently had a letter from rheumatologist saying my lymphocytes are low 0.5. And +++ Leukocytes in urine. As well as low vitamin D & low ferritin. I take Vit D anyway and am on MMF & prednisolone 7mg . Should I be worried? My named rheumatology team are not helpful at all, these results only came

TSH increase
I recently had blood tests due to feeling really fatigued especially after exercising. I’ve been on levo for 13 years for Hashimoto’s. Levels have been up and down. Last test was 0.75 and I felt fine. That was 9 months ago. Most recent test it was 7.16! No wonder I feel bad. All vits tested on the low

vit d spray
I have just read through a thread of someone’s post and saw that it said the vit d spray did not need to be 4 hours away from levothyroxine, is that correct?

Vitamin D: Secondary Analysis of the VITAL Randomized Clinical Trial (with a surprise!)
I don't know if this was previously posted (it's from 2020)...but it's fascinating. In their first analysis the researchers did not take into consideration...fat https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33206192/ Ah the secondary analysis was done by the same researchers from the original study!

Am I a poor converter. Latest blood results.
I contacted gp regarding hair loss, anxiety and depression. I have stopped most of my supplements apart from omega 3, vitamin d and magnesium. I take a brazil nut a day too for selenium. As always thank you to this group for its support .
