Unsure of best option in early prostate cancer diagnosis.
I have had PSA tests annually for 10 years and in Oct 2023 had an elevated 6.42 result. Was referred to a urologist, whom performed a DRE. There was prostate enlargement but no tumor discovered through DRE. After discussing several options, I decided to have a biopsy on Nov 21, 2023. Dec 5, 2023,

HDR boost Brachytherapy + IMRT
Hi all, This is my first post since being diagnosed with g9 metastatic PC. PSMA PET showed several pelvic lymph nodes with Mets, but no other spread, and bones are clean. I’m trying to finalize my choice of radiation treatments. I’m currently on Lupron and Zytiga, and PSA is dropping like a rock

PSMA PET SCAN AND PSA
I had a disagreement with my RO today and wonder if he is right. My last PSMA PET Scan in Dec 2023 showed no progression. End January onwards I have an on off pain in the left ribcage area with an increasing frequency. To recap....PT3bN1Mx, RP in 2019, IMRT 2020 and on ADT for 30 months, currently completed

anyone had prostap without Tibolone?
Hi I’m nearly 5 months in on the 3monthly prostap ( for fibroid shrinkage and pre hysterectomy) .. I didn’t take the Tibolone due to my fears for the first 3 months , but tried it on a half dose for about a month when I started the second 3month injection . Then I hated the side effects and they made

Anyone tried hyperbaric Oxygen therapy?
My bestie who is battling ovarian cancer is using this as part of her overcoming cancer plan and reckons it really helps. It gives her a boost of energy and seemes to have helped get her through the chemo stages with hardly any fatigue or sickness. It seems to be endorsed at least unofficially by many

ADT & Mets
Quick question. Let's say that you have Mets and don't know it. You think the PCa is contained because our last Pet-scan 2 months earlier said so. Are we wasting time going onto ADT if that treatment is mainly for contained PCa? Or will the ADT put a lid on the Mets wherever they are in our body?

AlteraAI test
Has anyone tried the AlteraAI test that uses AI to analyze the tumor samples and can predict the risk of developing metastatic disease after radiation for localized tumor with or without ADT. It has just been approved by Medicare. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6UOmj7z8Jw&t=10s&ab_channel=ProstateForumofOrangeCounty

Great paper on long-term side effects of various treatments for PCa..

Has my Sertraline stopped working?
I have been on Sertraline for depression for 2 years. I was put on 100mg and it seemed to help, I began to feel like my old self again. My dose was gradually lowered down to 50mg. But towards the end of last year….things started to unravel. I got married last October and I wasn’t the slightest excited
