Overshot I think!
I was doing well with the DSNS taper from 4 to 3.5mg at the end of the year (Nov/Dec), even stopping at one point then re-starting when I was not sure of a few niggles. Read a lot on here about Myofascial Pain Syndrome which seemed to fit with my stiff neck, predominantly on the left side which started

Ibuprofen vs Acetaminophen
Hi guys I have recently had some intense oral surgery and was prescribed Ibuprofen (not least due to its anti inflammatory properties). Consulting the www was a bust. There are sites that warn against ibuprofen with a PBC diagnosis (stage 0-1) and then there is the fact that ibuprofen does not get processed

need some advice from you lovely lot.
I tested positive for covid NYE. I've had the usual symptoms which haven't been pleasant but I've coped. I'm still positive on LF today. I think it sent me into a flare as my eyes are dry, rash on my face, swollen fingers, extreme tiredness etc but of course some of the covid symptoms overlap with uctd

Switch from HU to Pegasys
With thanks to Hunter and ETGuy for their ongoing advice and support, I made the switch this morning. My first (supervised) injection was easy and painless; I now just have to hope that I don’t suffer any major AEs - just taken two Paracetamol! - and that I can continue on Pegasys once we have the results

Newly diagnosed and needing help
Hi, I was diagnosed with a 6cm cyst which they thought might be cancer but now they're saying it's endometriosis. The gyne unit at the hospital have said they'll put me on the "very long" waiting list to see the endo team - in the meantime I should take paracetamol when the pain is bad and consider

Hello all, I'm Huguen, the new kid here (well I'm 43). I'll introduce myself.... After debilitating hip and lower back pain I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis in 2001. In about 2013 I was prescribed Humira, which was very harsh on my immune system, and later swapped onto Simponi which I think

My Heart is doing a lot better but I think it's not strong enough.
Hi my name is steve and 3 years ago I had a aortic mech valve fitted and partial aorta root replacement. It's been a long journey for me. I'm a landscape gardener in my mid fifties but so aware of my heart condition. I suffer from generalised anxiety disorder which is treated with meds, I have cardiomyopathy

Pain control using codine & paracetamol
Happy new year to everyone. I’m looking for some advice please. I was diagnosed in September 2019 like most I started at 15mg of prednisone .. that went to 20 mg quite quickly to get control of the inflammation. On my journey I fortunately have had only one big relapse. Presently I’m close to 2 mg.

Chemo pain
Hi All, I wanted to give some hope to anyone experiencing severe pain with taxanes. I had horrific stabbing pain from upper abdomen to knees with my first cycle of carbo / Pac. It started day 2, was at its worst day 3 and gradually improved the rest of the first week. It was almost unbearable and I didn't

Toe cramping and leg pain in Parkinson’s
My WWP experiences intense pain and discomfort that she finds difficult to describe in her legs, several times every day. Mostly accompanied by cramping, both upwards and downwards, of toes, which makes walking very difficult and sometimes impossible. She had DBS surgery 16 months ago, but this has not

**sensitive** with low AMH and poor semen results
Who knows where this will lead us, but after being four days late on AF, I decided to take a test or two this morning. A BFP🥺. I have extremely low AMH and have been told on numerous occasions that I will need to consider donor eggs. I’ve actually been waiting for AF in order to take the contraceptive

Controlled RA?
How do we determine if our RA meds are working well? Is it considered a good outcome if regular paracetamol and ibuprofen (in addition to the prescribed Mtx) keep pain in check or should we expect the RA specific meds (Dmards et al) to give a pain free result on their own? My blood tests have not shown
