Nebuliser
I live in the Malvern area and have a Medic Lite Freeway Lite nebuliser which i am happy to give away if it is of use to someone in the area. It is twenty years old but hardly used and appears to be in good working order.

Scary Frog
Having had COPD for the last 13/14 years I really thought I had dealt with most situations. So tonight I'm just sitting in my usual spot watching tv breathing as usual for me. Suddenly a nasty frog jumped into my windpipe and tried to choke me. No warning. In fact I've been feeling pretty good for the

Hylogy portable neb: anyone used it?
I came across a Hylogy rechargeable portable mesh neb while searching for a portable neb. Lots of good reviews on Amazon saying it's small and quiet, which is what I want - but seems to cost much less than other portable mesh neb machines! Not heard of the brand before - new to home nebs myself but

Amber zone treatment
Hi all I am a brittle and severe asthmatic with a history of circa 10-14 admissions a year and multiple ICU admissions under my belt. Luckily, I’m relatively well between these flairs and am able to work. My local hospital is great and the consultants and respiratory ward nurses and drs. work hard

Chest is being a little *ahem* snitch
I have severe asthma-although-possibly-not (long story but I’m happy to divulge if anyone is interested) and although my lung function was in the normal range at my last clinic appointment, it was reduced for me. This was my first appointment at the new clinic in a different county so all that really

Just wondering if anyone can help me? Two weeks ago I had a bad spell with my asthma; two A&E visits, 9 nebs and pred 8 for five days, in total. It really knocked me about and I had very little energy and really bad aches/cramps in my calves. Since Wednesday I’ve had diarrhoea and still have the

MY JOURNEY WITH COPD.
You CAN feel better with COPD. I suffered with Bronchitis from a very young age and over the years it got worse. The fact I smoked obviously made it worse but did I stop? No, of course not, I just had a weak chest. Fast forward to 2008 we were on a road trip in America with 4 friends and one by one

A great hospital experience (if such a thing exists 😅)
Hi everyone Having had some truely terrible hospital experiences (and posted them on here), I thought I’d post about my most recent trip, which was about 90% positive ☺️ I’d been twitchy since last Saturday (ended up not being able to get out of bed without needing to nebulise/ventolin) due to a 7hr

Hello, I'm a young man from the UK I've been an asthmatic all of my life. As a young baby maybe 1 month old, I contracted TB (Tuberculosis), at the same time i had bronchitis and pneumonia so as you can image being so young and fragile i was extremely unwell and nearly died, In fact i was ventilated

Poorly Controlled Asthma - Help!
I have been an asthmatic since I can remember so from being a baby, and I’m now 36. Problem is it’s very poorly controlled; has been for a while now, under the chest clinic, tried different inhalers, medication etc - no joy, my peak flow is usually 350ish and I’ve been on 6 prednisolone daily for six

Anyone got traceomalacia?
I've finally been diagnosed with traceomalacia after numerous appointments, tests, two bronchoscopies and miss diagnosis'. I've been told it's also called floppy airways. Not given any information on it. My specialist didn't even tell me how severe it is. Luckily my gp told me my airway closes between

How to pack a nebuliser for a flight?
Hello, quick question for the many experienced on this forum! Should a mains powered nebuliser go into hold or cabin luggage? Not travelled with all this stuff before so a little wary! Thank you, Deb
