Desatting during attacks
So I got quite ill. Went down to 87% in the ambulance, struggled to get my sats up even with oxygen driven neb. Got discharged anyway. Is this normal? Been in and out of A&E multiple times this week alone. Admitted twice since the start of the year, etc. I'm really struggling even now. My sats still

Persistent Congestion and Asthma
I have recently tested clear after several months of pseudomonas, in fact 2 clear tests but I'm really struggling with asthma and congestion, particularly when I lay down which is stopping me sleeping. I'm taking colomycin nebuliser twice a day, azithromycin 5 times a week at the moment, reducing to

Hypertonic Saline
I have just been prescribed 7%hypertonic saline to help with Bronchiectasis. Is this ok to use with the face mask on the nebuliser. It is very salty so not keen on using the mouthpiece.

Chest infection with orange phlem?
Hi, bit of a long post. I rang my asthma team on 17th December as I was coughing up thick green, temp, coughing etc. Had infections consistently for about 3 years now, definitely know what they feel like. They said see my gp because they cant see me, and even delayed all my appointments for the year.

Nebulisers
I need to purchase a nebuliser. My GP will prescribe the nebulas but doesn’t provide loan machines or recommend brands. There are hundreds on the internet and I’d really appreciate any guidance. Thanks!

Update on my Wife's Condition
First of all I'd like to say thanks to people who told me that we were in early days. Even a month ago though (10 weeks after my wife's accident) I wasn't personally positive of much change - she was not showing much sign (to me at least) of regaining any real consciousness and was informally assessed

Bronchiectasis exacerbation not budging
Some of you may know i went to hospital earlier in the week with a flare up. Ive finished antibiotics & steroids & the two community nurses who have been visiting daily are concerned I’m not getting better, my sats were pretty bad this morning. Nurse has arranged a different antibiotic & wants to keep

Autologous stem cell COPD therapy
The only help I have are sprays of saline with eucalyptus drops 3 times a day, and very rarely the use of salbutamol via
nebulizer
. Now, after almost 4 years the situation has not absolutely worsened, on the other hand I have not suffered any side effects.

Pseudomonas Infection - colomycin nebs
Hi, back in July I was diagnosed with pseudomonas lung infection, it was found in sputum sample following an infection that wouldn’t clear. I had ciprofloxin first, then my respiratory consultant prescribed 3 months of colomycin nebs - I’m due a review next week and just wondering what to expect? Thanks

Fantastic experience at a&e
I have heard of so many asthmatics, myself included, who have had a poor experience at a&e as they cough rather than wheeze and wanted to share a positive story. My asthma has been up and down over the past few months and on more than one occasion I have struggled far longer than I should have as I didn't

Why Do I Keep Getting Pleurisy ?
Why do I keep getting pleurisy ? I don't smoke , never had , no history of asthma - I was hospitalised in June and given an x-ray confirming it was in the bottom of my left lung and I was given six steroid pills and two sessions on a nebuliser . Then my GP said I had asthma . I'm a woodwind player !

Using a nebulizer
Hi all. I'm a 66 year old & have to use a nebuliser to get the phlegm from my chest, it makes me feel 96? I always use it in private but it does get me down. Does anyone else feel the same??

Copd review
I also asked if I could buy a
nebulizer
for when I get these bad exacerbations and she said they would not prescribe the medication for it. A respitory team would have to prescribe it.
